This place is legit!!! Over a few visits, had their brisket, pulled pork, ribs and turkey. It was all as good as anywhere else I have been in Midwest(even KC). Then there is their brisket chili and brisket taco's.....so amazing

Wow! This place absolutely blew us away. My wife and I previously lived in St. Louis and have had some amazing barbecue in the past, but this was completely unexpected and insanely good. We got the brisket and the turkey and tried the beef tri-tip and all were juicy, dripping in flavor, and so unique for Omaha. Wayne, the owner, is extremely gracious and will likely sample you barbecue prior to ordering and may even give you tips to make your own barbecue at home. We will absolutely be coming back!

I've had Smokin Barrel multiple times, and every time it is phenomenal. The meats are perfectly smoked, tender, flavorful & make you wish you were still hungry after enjoying the generous portions. It needs to be the next local restaurant featured on every traveling food show!

Food was decent, portions were small for what we paid for. We went during what would be an evening rush and it was totally dead.
My first time trying this place and it was fantastic. They really know how to bbq and the meat is juicy and flavorful. I had their Reuben special and a side of brisket chili. The Rueben was excellent, but personally I would have preferred a more traditional thousand island over the garlic aioli. You have the option of getting pickled jalepenos and raw white onions with any meal. My biggest point of feedback for the owners is rather than serving raw white onions which are bitter and should never be served raw, try lightly pickling them overnight and maybe use red onion which is a tastier raw onion. Also the sauces at the table were sweet spicy and bourbon which were all extremely sweet. I’d like a vinegar based sauce as an alternative and maybe tone down the sugar. Overall loved my food and wait to come back!

I tried the ribs and brisket for the first time and tasted delicious! Especially the brisket! I've have KC and St. Louis brisket and tasted so dry and no flavor. With Smokin Barrel, their brisket tasted juicy and packed with flavor! Highly recommend this place!!!
