The food was extremely delicious the only reason I'm giving a four-star is because I don't agree with the food being weighed by the pound. I do believe I overpaid but the one experience I'm going to have was delicious
Amazing food! Fried chicken has great flavor and crunch. Oxtail melts in your mouth. My picky son gobbled up the catfish. Yams have a delicious syrupy texture, without being overly sweet. Au gratin potatoes have an abundant cream sauce. Great service as well.

The food was good. I came in from out of town and just needed something hearty. I was told I can substitute but then told no to everything I tried to sub with. Customer service was not there. I ended up choosing all sides. Delicious! The price was very hefty. Over $13 for two sides and s slither of cornbread. I will not return due to the lack of customer service.

Everything is AMAZING!!! Food, services, and the vibe! Frankie Beverly and Maze were playing on the system, the food smelled great and tasted even better! Don’t make me move to Omaha just for this food!!
If you haven’t tried Southern Spoon, you’re missing out and I know good soul food! I promise you won’t be disappointed…even my kids cleaned their plates and still wanted more

Had the please of catching this spot on a Sunday and met the owner n his wife and all i can say is this food is super tasty and they are very nice people 😁
ate here a while back probably the most unseasoned bland food i tasted catfish was horrible but the oxtails had no seasoning tasted like neck bones and on top of that it for sure was not a southern taste in 3 of platters that i received just horrible and over priced wish i could put zero stars

The service and atmosphere were great. However, we had to call to find out where we should park. There are no designated parking spaces. We were warmly greeted by I believe she was the owner‘s mom and told us how the pricing works. She was very nice. To be honest, the food was not good (In my opinion). The boiled cabbage had no flavor. The sweet potatoes and collard greens were okay. Maybe they were having a bad day. We ended up paying $55 for two dinners they weigh the packaging, including any extra containers. Highly overpriced for styrofoam and plastic forks. I love supporting the black community, but I wouldn’t eat there again. We do wish you all the best with your business!

We were visiting from out of town and wanted a soul food dinner. We weren’t familiar with the area or the parking and nothing was clearly marked. Once inside the hospitality was present. There was a guy working at the front who let us sample the chicken wings. They were delicious and the food smelled good. However, there were no prices posted anywhere. My spouse asked the owner and he says he weighs the items for pricing and rambled off chicken, pork chops and fish cost this by the pound. We’re assuming he’s speaking of meat options only, but he weighs your entire meal based on the weight of whatever meat you choose. Confusing right…and also overcharging folks in the process (my opinion). I didn’t see any reviews that spoke of price before going so use this review as a guide. The food was tasty, however, beware of the pricing before ordering. And no, we won’t go back if visiting Nebraska again.
