First time stopping in and she owner or young ladies in the shop today were so nice and welcoming!! I've never had oxtails before so this was my first time trying them & I will definitely be back ! They had a lot of flavor & the candied yams were really good!

Full five stars! Wow!!! so blown away by this place, the employees and the food. Everything was amazing literally perfect. We'll be back can't wait to try more we had chicken croquette that was top shelf, mashed potatoes, gravy, beans, rice and cornbread just beautiful. They made the restaurant very cozy and homey its very nice inside! Parking on the side off of Ames easy to find and worth every penny!
I spent $50 on an oxtail meal and at least $30 of my meal was all fat it was so much (I took pictures) that it filled the entire part of the large part of the container. I did point to the ox tails I wanted not realizing they were 85% all fat. And as everyone sees versus the owner saying hey next time you come in I'll take care of you for that if you were not satisfied he will probably have a rebuttal for every bad review. A normal business would do something for you to keep you coming back. I've spent hundreds with the this place in less than a month. NEVER AGAIN! All the people I recommended there will now get a pic of my food!Parking: I always have to parkin other people's businesses to come there.

Prices are extreme, 25.00 per entree, 3 entrees totaling 75.00. You cannot serve mash potatoes that are instant. With these prices, you "must" cater to your clientele as "scratch homemade," being that you are a soul food establishment.!?!?!?!?? I am from NY, and I never experienced this payment hike back home. If you expect this price, please fill the section portions of the sides, and make the food from scratch. It was an amazing experience, will not be returning.

I paid $30.45 for 6 party wings, 2 8oz collard greens and a slice of cornbread… I didn’t receive the yams/sweet potatoes I surely ordered. I did bring my concerns to management. After calling speaking with the cashier (who swore I never ordered yams/sweet potatoes.
I was offered a free side of yams/sweet potatoes upon return for the “misunderstanding”However, I won’t be returning. Plus that chicken could’ve fried a minute or two longer…
