I have ordered their hamburger many times. It's usually excellent. But this time I found that it was extremely salty and over cooked. The french fries we're not freshly cooked. They didn't include the burger sauce and ketchup they gave me wasn't that much. I know they're going to be shutting down, but they don't need a phone it in

This is a farewell review for Stirnella. For being so close to were I live, I think I did not go as often as I would have liked to. However, the few times I've been there were great. The place is incredibly huge and there's booths, bar, patio sitting and even private room. It can be super empty and also super full but I always found space to sit. The lighting is dim enough to be pleasant. The service is good and the staff have always been friendly. The food is ok. I have to admit there were very few highlights but it has a decent standard. Their sweet corn Fritters and popcorn chicken were the best. I guess it is more a place to have a drink, chill and gather with friends so in that respect it does serve its purpose. If I could do 4.5 stars maybe I would. Overall it was still an enjoyable corner in Blackstone and it would a sorely missed spot. Unfortunately Blackstone has become a toxic place for businesses and Stirnella is yet another victim. May it hopefully resurrect somewhere else and if not, I wish the best to their staff. Thanks for the few, but good, enjoyable and peaceful memories.

Under unfortunate circumstances I finally got to try this place due to hearing about it's near future closure! The interior is very hipster and inviting as well is the staff, the menu sounds fancy and upscale as I was getting excited at the culinary adventure it sounds to take. Spoiler alert we were left underwhelmed as everything was decent but for the price and the expectations set beforehand the meals didn't deliver. Don't get me wrong all was well, just missed the mark on flavor and quality for me and my party. I wish them well on their future endeavors and high hopes for what will fill the space!

Absolutely outstanding food. We've dined here about a half dozen times and never had a bad experience. Because everything has been delicious in the past, we took heavy guidance from our attentive waitress and chose as appetizers the shisheito peppers and the roasted Brussels sprouts— utterly amazing— and roasted squash / oyster mushroom agnolotti and a mouthwatering (even now in memory) short rib sandwich that is the best version of short ribs I've ever had. For dessert we tried the famous gooey butter bar which was made over the top by the Nutella ice cream. Just go. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny. Just go.

Server was fantastic, very attentive. Party going on in the back room with kids screaming... it would have been great if they closed that door. Food good. Brussel Sprouts fantastic.

We had a very nice dinner, all four of us. I had a wedge salad and added scallops The table shared two appetizers. The deviled eggs and the brussel sprouts were both great. The other three members of our party had three different types of pasta.

Upon entering Stirnella, the environment was comfortable enough and seemed to fit their marketing. We put a note on our reservations that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, but this was never mentioned. I understand if they missed the note, but no one asked, "are you celebrating anything special tonight?" which is customary at a restaurant of this 'caliber'.We ordered and our appetizer came out quickly and was delicious. The problem started with the main entrees. My husband ordered a dish that was a protein paired with a carb and veg. The veg did not come out on his plate. When we mentioned this to the server, we were met with this reply, "The Kitchen is really busy tonight, you should go ask them yourselves!".Within minutes the apparent manager came by to ask how our dinner was going. We told them of the missing side item and the servers response. They did not apologize or offer to take care of the matter in any means. We finished our meal and left.I followed up with both an email and phone call to the owner as a review of negativity is a last resort. They didn't reply for a month. I emailed once more hoping they were overwhelmed and could help before resorting to reviews.Their response was that they are sorry. A huge disappointment for a meal we travelled for to celebrate our anniversary.

Great menu, nice atmosphere, I hosted a very nice business lunch here for a bunch of foodies and we all enjoyed ourselves and had a great time. Highly recommended.

We stopped at Stirnella for a birthday dinner last Saturday evening and had a wonderful time. The food is overall pretty wonderful, but there is room for improvement with a few items we ordered. Highly recommend the corn fritters. The pork chop was also a big hit, although the potato salad that came with it wasn't on the same level. Our server was very attentive and made suggestions for the table if we were unsure about an order. We sat in the back by the kitchen due to the business of the restaurants, but I wish we had been closer to the patio with the rolled up doors. It really adds to the experience and takes you out of Omaha in many ways.

I'm from out of town and stumbled onto this neighborhood gem. I came twice in two days. Excellent food and bar program. Don't miss the sweet corn fritter or the patty melt. House made fries are great and Brussels sprouts are amazing and not deep fries.

We had to sit at the bar after making a reservation for a table - which is fine, but we were told they were getting our table ready and we were never sat. We did get a free round of drinks for waiting so long, which was appreciated. The cucumber gin spritz is delightful! Had Burrata to start. The actual cheese & pesto was good, but it was hard to tell because the bread was. SO. Salty. I've never not finished bread in my life, but it was practically inedible. Like why are you putting salt on bread? Why? Why? I had the Steak-Frites. The steak was medium-rare (what I ordered), but it was very dry. I tried sopping it up with the jus, but there was barely any. The steak was cut into two chunky medallions - again, I just wonder why. Instead of 4 thinner slices, which would have been easier to cut and chew. The fries were stiff but also mealy. I don't think they were frozen, because they had skin-on, but they had that taste/texture to them. I had maybe 6, and didn't bother eating the rest. We declined dessert as 2/3 desserts were banana-based & my partner doesn't like bananas. I would've liked to order dessert - I like bananas, but between the banana-curd bar and the chocolate torte (too heavy for summer), nothing was ringing my bell. Overall - Great staff (they seemed short-staffed but I'm not judging them for that, not their fault), atmosphere was fine, food wasn't great - and for the price point, I would expect the food to at least be good. I was disappointed because lots of people have recommended Stirnella to me over the years, so my expectations were pretty high.

Horribly overpriced. Our server Madison was the best thing about the place, she was so knowledge and a pleasure to correspond with. Food was really good, but just not worth the insane prices. I think what really bothered me was portion size for the price. Very small portions. I don't think I have ever had a 1.5oz Manhattan before going to Stirnella. ?

We sat on the patio right on the street front. It was a beautiful warm night. Restaurant is beautiful inside, even down to the bathrooms. Drinks were delicious! I got the Pinot Noir on tap and it was great! Light and easy to drink. The food was very good. Our waitress was so sweet. She even comped us a drink for our “wait” (which we didn't even have one!) overall superb

Wonderful restaurant with a menu full of unique and flavorful options. The Burrata appetizer was perfect. The Ricotta Gnocchi was amazing. The drinks had a fun twist and were made well. Definitely worth the stop.Vegetarian options: There were a couple of great options for Vegan and Vegetarian.

Food was phenomenal! The drinks were good. The atmosphere was great! I went with a group of friends for my birthday. Sadly, the service was below my expectations. My glass of water remained empty, multiple times for far too long.
