The service just was not pleasing at all, the lady(Deanna) if that was her name taking orders was really rude and not considerate of our reservation needs. Wanted a bunch of adults to be scrunched at a table with no room to eat. Overall, service was not it for me and should have been considerate of the space we tried to have. Overall just not a great experience.

The only bad thing I can say is the serving sizes. They are TOO BIG! OMG! I had the smoked Gouda mac n cheese, and you could have fed a family of four with it. It was so good, but I could only put a dent in the bowl. And the bread pudding was the best I ever had!

Nice atmosphere. Food was delicious. I recommend the goat balls to start. Don’t be shy, get out your comfort zone, the honey & arugula really take it another level. The braised lamb shank was so tender it fell off the bone, the gravy was yummy. Lastly the bread pudding was nice.

Stokin' Goat is part of the Restaurants, Inc. family of brands (Stokes, Twisted fork, etc) and it's one of our favorites of the group that we've tried, along with Taxi's! We first visited Stokin' Goat with our Supper Club group, but have been back a few times when we were in the area. The vibe is very fun and laid back, but still high quality food and service - not laid back in that sense. They have a ton of tasty cocktails. The Cougar Bait was our favorite - raspberry, lime, vodka - it tasted like a raspberry limeade! We tried the honey dipped goat balls as a starter and they were amazing! There was goat cheese pungency mixed with the sweetness of the honey and the saltiness of being fried up. I didn't even get a pic of these, they were gobbled up so fast. Another starter we shared that got eaten too fast for a picture was the truffle fries. I am a sucker for truffle fries, and these were among the best I've had. Nice and crispy (but not too crispy) and came with a delicious garlic aioli. Our group had a lot of different pastas/risottos - the Hearty Bolognese, the Garlic Shrimp Risotto, and the Chicken and Terragon Risotto (my choice). I (and a few others) also got a side of the Smoked Gouda Mac and Cheese - so we definitely were good on the starches! My Chicken and Terragon Risotto was absolutely delicious and super creamy with tons of sauce (which is my favorite). The chicken was super flavorful with the spices they used. Definitely recommend that, if you're a chicken fan. They also have non-pasta/risotto options. My friend ordered the Maple Glazed Salmon, and it looked so delectable and fresh. I will be definitely ordering that on one of my next visits. My husband has ordered the Short Rib French Dip (and given me bites) and it was so juicy, with super tender meat, and the au jus was extra flavorful. If your'e a French Dip fan, definitely give this one a try! If you're a fan of scratch kitchen fare, a fun twist in the decor, and great service - Stokin' Goat would be a great option for you.

The service can be hit or miss, but overall, the food is great. The mussels and duck are (so far) my favorite here.

The food, atmosphere and service is impeccable! We love going for happy hour, and when we want a delicious meal. The goat ball appetizers are so delicious. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent food, great service. The wife loves lamb except she gets turned off by any hint of gaminess - she devoured the lamb saying it was some of the best shes ever had. The garlic shrimp risotto seemed endless and delicious. Made for a wonderful Valentine's date night!

Went for after dinner drinks only but loved the atmosphere and will definitely try dinner there one day....Updating my original review. Went downtown to the Candlelight concert event on Wednesday, January 24, which was cool but we decided not to stay downtown for a drink. My girlfriend wanted the chocolate martini instead from Stokin Goat and I wanted an Old Fashioned and an appetizer. I had heard their wings were good and indeed they are! We arrived at about 8:30pm and the sign on their door says they close at 9pm so we went inside. And, ole damn, why did we do that! I mean the nerve of us the patronize a business while they're still opened and serving. That was the reaction that we got from the bartender (she did not smile the entire night) who gave us a feeling that she was offended that we would dare come and ask for food and drinks 30 minutes before her closing time. She was short with us and at one point, she even mumbled something under her breath when my girlfriend reminded her that we had asked for a side of ranch, while she stormed off to the kitchen to get it. I of course asked her what she had said to which she responded with something entirely different from what I heard. At about 8:45p.m. I got up to go to the restroom while at the same time a gentleman was walking into the front door to have a seat. I then overheard the bartender angrily telling her co-worker quote "what's he doing here so late, I'm not serving him." Such a sad experience since my initial visit there had such promise. Of course, the evening was younger then and our bartender was different as well. My girlfriend does enjoy their drinks but who's to say, with so many options, whether we'll go back.

Wasn't a big fan of this place. Food was good but overpriced for what you get. Service was decent but not great for what you pay for. As for most places I've tried it a couple of times just to make sure things were right and both were about the same.

Loved this restaurant the first couple of times we ate there. However, the last time we ate there, we had to send back one undercooked chicken dish, and another dish was a bit overcooked. The honey-dipped goat balls are the best!
