The puff tacos were AMAZING. I got the steak taco and the shrimp taco, both amazing, really really enjoyed the shrimp taco. Also shared a prickly pear and lime pitcher, also very good!

Hubby and me were in the mood for tacos and after searching for a new spot we haven’t tried and taking forever to make a decision we landed on Taco Co. Ummm how have we not tried this place before?! We both had Birria tacos, I also had a black bean taco and my husband had a barbacoa taco. We also shared the elote esquites (best ever… I could have eaten an entire bowl of this). The tacos were super good, and not greasy at all considering the shells are fried. Our server Ashley was great. Very personable and a great demeanor in general. We came in close to closing time and she didn’t rush us at all and took the time to chat with us. I have been in the restaurant/food service/hospitality industry for over 2 decades and if I was still managing a restaurant I’d try to steal Ashely to come work for me. (Ashley tell your mom she made the right choice in coming to try the place, finally)

We LOVE Taco Co! The food is fantastic, but honestly we come back for the staff. Our favorite server, Abby, is exceptional—friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. She anticipates our needs without being intrusive and makes great recommendations. We have also gotten to know the manager, Ashley, who keeps the restaurant running like a well oiled machine. You can’t go wrong with Taco Co, especially with their signature puffy tacos.

I liked the chicken, beef & pork tacos I had. They were a generous size & delicious. I had never had a taco in a puffed shell but I liked it-in particular I liked that they were not greasy! I also had the black beans. I really liked that the restaurant offers black beans instead of the typical pinto beans. The service was prompt & courteous. I will return.
Be aware that this restaurant stops seating guests after 8:30 PM, even though they close at 10 PM. I usually avoid dining near closing time, but due to an unexpected situation—our plans changed. We arrived at 8:45 PM, only to be told they had stopped seating guests 15 minutes earlier. It would be helpful if their hours clearly stated that seating ends an hour and a half before closing.

My favorite (puffy) tacos in Omaha. Only problem is that it’s small and gets quite busy, but I’ve been lucky enough to get two spots at the bar when it’s packed. Also, only open 5 days a week 4-10, I wish they were open more! A weekly stop for me.
