We had the carne asada tacos, and the carne asada burrito w/ a horchata. It was all BOMB, including the service and overall vibe, we will be back!

Taquería El Rey was a pleasant surprise! For being in the Midwest, the food was good and had mostly authentic flavor. The service was friendly and efficient, and everything came out fresh. They don’t serve alcoholic beverages, but you can do carry-out or use the drive-through, which is super convenient. Overall, a good spot for Mexican food in Omaha — definitely worth a visit if you’re craving tacos or burritos around here.

Charged 25% tip they should put a sign on the door so that the customer know they charge 25% tip also added state and city taxes and put kids as adults on the receipt which they shouldn’t do
10/10 highly recommend, burrito de asada carne y tortilla dorada 👌🏽

Food is ok . The wait time is horrible 25 minutes for a burrito needs better time management.

We were just passing through aftet visiting the zoo and were looking for a Mexican restaurant to eat. I googled it and found you. Very friendly staff. Food was delicious you get a lot for your money! I highly recommend this place!
I've been a few times and had asada burritos as well as a few of the tacos and the aguas frescas. The meat has generally been dry and the burritos come with way too much rice and the asada was not nearly flavorful enough to compensate for it. I've had similar issues with the tacos, just not enough flavor and dry meat. The aguas frescas tasted too watered down as well, I'll be back to try other items and see if I'm missing something but there are better places on the street.
The food is not bad, they just feel over priced for what we pay in a burrio. They make them with less meat and a TON OF RICE. It feels like I'm paying for a rice burrito barely any meat you end up paying around 16$ or so after a soda on the side.
