Very cool ambience and decoration. The location on the basement of the hotel gives the appearance of an actual speakeasy but there is easy access to the street. Music was a bit too loud for a speakeasy ambience. Cocktails were not consistent, due mainly to bartenders. There was one that knew what they were doing and the other not so much. I guess just luck if you get the right person. Food options not that extensive here. The steak bites were great though. Super tender and flavorful. Overall, good for a stop and definitely should be check out.

The hotel seems to have been recently remodeled. Room was clean, spacious and cozy. Bed and pillows were super comfortable. Bathroom was super modern and nice. The hallways were well illuminated but cozy at the same time. Service and front desk were super helpful. There is free coffee in the front desk. Also they have a nice restaurant and breakfast section. Breakfast had tons of options. The hotel seems closer to the midtown area than the actual downtown, but still has a great location. There is tons of construction going around at the hotel site as well as on the street (city improvements). Overall, had a great time here. Will definitely consider staying here again.

Absolutely amazing experience! The hotel was clean and very nicely decorated and kept. The staff (especially Sarah at the front desk) were super kind, patient, and helpful! Everything about this hotel was just great. The rooms were nice (except for the heating/cooling constantly changing on its own)! The free drinks were great, and all the food they served was amazing quality. Overall great experience staying here!

Beautiful hotel. Did a staycation there and had a wonderful time. The committee chophouse and the cottonwood room were great places for food and drinks. I would go there again for a staycation.

Had a staycation there and it was perfect. The hotel is beautiful and the service at the cottonwood room and the committee chophouse couldn't have been better. I look forward to coming back in the future.

I ate at the bar, and it was elegant and quiet, and the food was delicious.

Beautifully designed with a nod to its history but with a modern flair. Service was great. Food and drinks delicious.

Had reservations for 3 couples Friday night, we were seated and greeted right away. Food was great, though quite pricy. Server was attentive and knowledgeable.I ordered a bottle of probably the cheapest red blend on the menu (which was still over $80) to have with dinner. I was really the only one at the table who knew anything about wine (which is not THAT much). He brought it to me to taste and then poured for our table. At the end of the night, getting the bill we realized he upgraded our bottle w/o asking to the Liter which ended up being over $70/couple! I don't know if he assumed a regular bottle wouldn't be enough for 6 people so took liberty...but my husband drank none, and everyone HAD other drinks, just wanted a little wine with dinner. I never would have ordered that. That's shady AF IMO!

What happened? We have stayed at the Kimpton Cottonwood a handful of times over the last few years. We come to expect great service, and beautiful atmosphere and an overall amazing experience. Unfortunately, the last time we stayed there for our anniversary in October of 2023, our expectations were far from met. On previous visits one of highlights has been enjoying a few drinks in the outdoor hot tub on a cold fall night. We have had no less than 3 romantic relaxing nights out there until around midnight. Upon checking in we were told that if we were out there past 10pm security would remove us. Ok, so new rules or new enforcement of previous rules is a thing which happens, but it was so poorly communicated I was taken aback by it. Next the room; the tv did not work, someone had to come up and fix it (super romantic) the usb charging ports next to the bed did not work. The following morning we requested some towels from the front desk on our way in from a morning dip in the hot tub. After waiting 20 min, I sorted some towels from the housekeeping safe on our floor. I put the do not disturb tag on the door and my wife and I hopped in the shower, only to discover fresh towels on the bed when we got out!! Super awkward and quite intrusive if you ask me. I would have called the desk to tell them that we no longer needed towels, but phone in the room also did not work. Many missed opportunities by the Kimpton lead to my wife and I getting "Home Alone 2'd" in the shower. We don't call this "our anniversary spot" anymore.

The Cottonwood is undeniably gorgeous! Every aspect of the hotel, from the lobby, to the restaurants/bars, to the rooms is well-thought-out and impeccably designed. We stayed here for an overnight staycation, and we had a great time. We enjoyed a free spiked apple cider in the lobby before venturing to the Orleans Room for a drink and charcuterie. The charcuterie board was really good, but definitely needed more bread and/or crackers to match the amount of meat and cheese on the board. The location is perfectly placed near other Blackstone bars and restaurants.

So. Was excited to stay at The Cottonwood for the first time. Horrible. TV remote never worked. We actually never got the TV to work. Staff is unfriendly. Wednesday night Dec 27, my daughter and I went in to "look" at the bar. The bare tender on her cell phone. Rudely yelled at us, "Bar is closed". 11:00 PM a hotel bar is closed? Then, we had a room on the 3rd floor of the new wing. And it is the closest room to new construction. Which was really loud starting at 7:00 AM. Hotel was not full. So why fill this room until have to? Omaha got ripped off. Especially the special tax on Blackstone business. What a bad joke!!! Never stay there again. Horrible. Breakfast took forever. And finally had to get it to go. Lots better choices in Omaha. Maybe ALL!!!

i Love staying at the Cottonwood in Omaha! There are so many fun restaurants and bars within walking distance. The hotel rooms are luxurious and I especially love the scents of the shampoos and conditioners and soaps! The downstairs hotel bar is so fun! I will definitely be coming back! Can't wait to stay again!

Holiday pop was magical! especially loved the hallway with trees. The drink menu idea was nice just not so much the drinks themselves lacking alcohol. Ambience was perfect for the occasion!

Beautifully appointed rooms. Welcoming staff and elegant decor. Multiple bar areas to choose from. The elegant Cottom Room downstairs to the side bar off the lobby and seasonal pool bar. BTW the pool is a happenin' place to be on a summer Saturday with the DJ rockin the crowd! Enjoy the Blackstone district restaurants and bars as well as Jazz on the Green during the summer just a few steps away. A great getaway spot for sure.
