This is our fifth time going to The Drover. The food is always fantastic and you'll never beat the price!

Food was excellent, but service was slow. Took forever for waiter to get our order and food to arrive as well as the check. Had to ask for check then still waited for him to bring it.

I ordered the whiskey filet and it did not disappoint. The filet was delicious and the cook was spot on. I also had the mushrooms (which were amazing), a loaded baked potato and the salad bar. Everything was excellent.

The Drover is one of the best and, in my humble opinion, the most iconic Omaha steakhouse. Whenever we have someone in from out of town and they want steak, this is the first place we mention. It's on par with any other steakhouse without being pretentious. BUT... Plating and presentation could use a little work. Zero complaints on the food, believe me, the 12oz whiskey marinated bone-in filet (right now your mouth is watering) is as good as you will find anywhere but it's just the steak and the loaded baked potato on the plate and it isn't as visually appealing as some other steakhouses. Personally, that doesn't matter as much as the quality of the food, but guests have made comments about it. The salad bar still ranks #1! Overall, the Drover never disappoints!

Excellent food, as always. Service however, has taken a nosedive. Zero personal touch, and even a glaring, angry stare back when I requested au jus for my prime rib. In fact, both waitresses for our area acted the same way. For this price point, and with the Drover's outstanding reputation, it needs to be better.

Excellent food! The service was great. I was really impressed with the quality of the food and the quality of the portions. I will definitely go back!

We had high expectations, but unfortunately they fell a little short. Of the three people in our party of four who ordered steak, only one found it to be excellent, but even that was only after sending it back to achieve the requested temperature. The baked potatoes were okay, but not outstanding. WAY TOO MUCH butter. The bread was good the first time, but cold the second. Two of us had a glass of wine, but one of our glasses was so dirty it was off-putting. The salad bar is nice - just the right amount of ingredients available. Despite having a reservation and seeing available tables throughout the restaurant, we were seated in a cramped section right next to the salad bar. It was a very noisy high-traffic area with no ambience. Our server was okay, but slow. When we were seated, half of the silverware on our table was missing. We had to ask our server to remedy this twice. He did an adequate job, but it was very busy and therefore the service was slow. My bottom line for any review is the question "Would I go again?" Given the number of established steakhouses in Omaha, I have to say I would not.

If you're a steak person, this is the experience you're looking for. The food was high-quality and cooked perfectly. The whiskey marinade was delicious. The staff were attentive, friendly, and patient. The salad bar is basic, but clean, fresh, and well-stocked. The chicken poblano soup was out of this world. The fresh, hot bread was very good. I've really got no notes. This was a solid, but pricey experience I would absolutely have again.

Fabulous. Service better than most other restaurants in this category. Can't wait to go back.

My wife and I went for her birthday. The venue was dark and dated. Her steak was good along with her loaded baked potato. The WORST prime rib I've ever had. So tough I could hardly cut and so chewy I just had to swallow in chunks; the rice was just mid. Never saw our server again after ordering and he didn't provide us with the daily specials as we overheard him do to the table next to us. Only the cocktail waitress and host provided good service....kudos to them. I would not recommend and will not return.

Good steaks and the double-layer cheesecake was fantastic. Service was slow with no communication from our server on the delay - we were left sitting there for easily half an hour with no one checking on us. The cheesecake was so good I might try it again at a less busy time.

We love the Drover and using Open Table to book a last minute reservation was very smooth! Food and service is always amazing. Price was as expected we didn't feel there had been much of an increase from previous visits. Overall Drover is always a hit and great place to take newbies who have never been. WIN all around!
