Food was excellent, but service was slow. Took forever for waiter to get our order and food to arrive as well as the check. Had to ask for check then still waited for him to bring it.
I ordered the whiskey filet and it did not disappoint. The filet was delicious and the cook was spot on. I also had the mushrooms (which were amazing), a loaded baked potato and the salad bar. Everything was excellent.
The Drover is one of the best and, in my humble opinion, the most iconic Omaha steakhouse. Whenever we have someone in from out of town and they want steak, this is the first place we mention. It's on par with any other steakhouse without being pretentious. BUT... Plating and presentation could use a little work. Zero complaints on the food, believe me, the 12oz whiskey marinated bone-in filet (right now your mouth is watering) is as good as you will find anywhere but it's...
