Hosted a bridal shower there. Natalie was wonderful to work with. The food was very good, and the event room was the perfect size. An overall great experience!

Didn't realize this place was here and public! Great little neighborhood bar and grill. Friendly staff. Nice lounge area off to the side for cozy sitting. Will return.

1. Locally Owned - this is not a franchise, this is an establishment owned and run by hardworking industry professionals. They understand their customer base, that includes changing up the menu with seasonal food and drink specials (blackened fish, fish tacos and mac and cheese are delish during Lent).

2. Consistency - I've been there when its dead on a Monday afternoon, crazy busy on a Saturday evening, and everything in-between. Besides the completely understandable and acceptable crunch during an unexpected rush, these guys know what they're doing. Kudos to them for keeping their cool when the food and drink orders are flying.

3. The regulars - this is not a college bar, this is also not a froo froo bar where a craft cocktail will set you back double digits. The crowd is a delightful mix of 20, 30, 40, 50, 60 somethings - singles, couples, families, that manage to respect each others space and have developed an atmosphere where everyone can get along. (Expect the occasional curse word, so there's a warning for anyone with delicate ears)

4. The staff knows the menu and ingredients, can handle modifications, can work with you on allergies, offer recommendations, take-out, dine in, split tabs, the works. Just don't order a single lemon drop shot. Ever. Thats not cool guys.

5. Great for individuals, great for groups. Saddle up to the bar and watch the game along, or with some buds. Grab a table inside or outside and have a team lunch/dinner. Expecting more? Reserve a couple tables ahead of time so you know you're set. Diaper Keg? Graduation Party? Reserve the private party room weeks/months in advance. Need some privacy? Grab a board game off the shelf and get comfy in a more secluded lounge area spot.

6. Bar games! Darts, pool, Golden Tee, (aforementioned) board games. So many options for people who need a little friendly competition with their beer.

7. The menu - its not short, but its not too long - a good offering of various appetizers, entrees, and desserts, great for both individuals (salads, burgers, handhelds, flatbreads) and groups (loaded nachos, pizzas). The Hill Burger is a personal favorite.

The magic of this place grows greater and greater every time you walk in. Try it yourself, you'll see what I mean.

Oh, its also the SEXIEST pool in Omaha. That's nice too.

I live at this complex and eat at this restaurant semi-often. I’ve had a few experiences here which have compelled me to leave a review.

Food is yummy but service is usually incredibly slow and my fiancé often has to go to the bar to get our drinks refilled. It takes them forever to acknowledge you and even longer to place an order.

I had a disabled leg a few weeks ago that I had to stick out straight from surgery. Server continually tripped over my leg and didn’t even try to avoid it which messed with my stitches and gave me pain.

Other times we have had our order completely messed up when there with our friends because some of the servers refuse to write orders down for reference when taking orders (and for four people, how could they remember all of it?)

Food has been messed up a few times and once the bacon on my burger was raw which they corrected by giving me fresh bacon.

Yesterday left a bad taste in my mouth. I had my friend over at the pool. We had just come from the other pool after having been there for a few hours. We waited at the pool for the poolside service for over an hour. The waitress on duty (8/17/24) serviced everyone else at the pool multiple times but never came to take the order of my friend and I. Eventually, I had to go inside and ask for poolside service. The waitress was continually acting like she didn’t see us. And there were only about four or five different parties there.

Then she came out later, took our order (without a notepad but everything was correct this time), and came back out to give us our condiments and napkins. When she sets them by our pool bag, she scoffs, “hey guys, there is ABSOLUTELY NO FOOD ALLOWED EVER at this pool.” It was one of the snottier tones I’ve heard a server speak in. My friend (who, by the way, doesn’t live here) and I were both so confused… we had just come from the other pool after being there for hours. We didn’t have any snacks out of the bag. We came to the hill poolside to order dinner. And we did.

What an incredibly tasteless comment from one of the The Hill employees after we had just given them our business and money (and by the way, our pool snacks never left our bag. We came to that pool for dinner).

Additionally, I have been to this pool many times, and I have never seen signage stating people cannot bring snacks. I get rules are rules. But even after that comment, my friend and I couldn’t locate any signage.

I have had others here for poolside service before and it’s usually an incredibly slow and long process.

Also all of this with the fact that each time you go to the hill, the bar is crowded by regulars and employees of the facility. And they stare when you go to the bar to order. They always get priority service. So incredibly annoying that this is how tenants are treated here.

I literally couldn’t get over that comment from the waitress. We had just put in an order for two full meals and she had some snarky comment about the snacks in our pool bag??

Thanks

Brooke and Rai will make sure you have a wonderful experience at The Hill. First rate food, friendly and efficient service will ensure an experience that will make u want to come back. Delicious and authentic Philly sandwich made a little homesick - fries were done to perfection. Try this place if you have the chance.

Was there for a wedding shower. Bartender really kind & helpful. Staff overall were great.
Space was tiny-we only had 15ish people so it was fine, but any more would have been uncomfortably tight. I think there was outdoor area you could go to through this room, but I didn't use it. It might have just been a service entrance for the staff.
Food: buffalo sauce probably amazing to people who like to smell the heat of their food. Tried a bit with the chips and it cleared out my sinuses. Artichoke dip ok, but you'll have had better somewhere else. Ham & cheese croissant sandwiches were sweet. This is not my preference, but they weren't terrible. The pizzas were really good, especially the meat pizza. I believe the menu is more extensive, but this is what we were served for the shower.

Parking: If you get there in an "off" time, parking will be easy. However, the way it's set up, if the bar is busy, you might not find a good space.

I’m hoping I just went on an off day but I was pretty disappointed. The service was so incredibly poor. Our food was ordered and delivered, never asked if it was okay or we needed anything.
But I think what bothers me the most is how lazy the bartender/server was. Idk if Friday at 1 normally has 1 worker but it was not working. Most tables needed to be cleaned still and you can tell that the server has no plan to do any extra. Also, the fries had way too much salt. I like salt but that was enough salt for the next month.

We had a party there for my parents. I barely got to eat because I was busy talking to friends and family, but when I got home and ate some of the leftovers, I was blown away. If the food is that good reheated—it must be amazing out of the kitchen.

Vegetarian options: Let your server know you are a vegetarian. The staff will go out of there way to accommodate you.

The best spot for a late night pizza craving. Excellent service. Lots of friendly locals holding forth in the various sporting events on the big screen TV's all over the place.
