Hoppy taco was good. I had shrimp ? tacos. The atmosphere was cool and small. Would definitely recommend and go back.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. The first time coming here I ordered online and the order wasn’t noticed by the staff. However, when the food was given it was good enough for a second trip. BUT the second trip resulted in two of the worst margaritas my wife and I have ever had, a 30 minute visit where we never got an opportunity to place a food order, and realizing that the “in house” menu was extremely limited to only about 5 options. The disappointing part is that I’m not a reviewer at all and don’t complain about service unless it’s truly terrible. There were four tables during our visit- two with kids. Both families paid cash and left after waiting for over 15 minutes to get a tab.

We moved to the Dundee area in early 2022 and have been frequent customers at Hoppy Taco ever since. We’ve always enjoyed their drinks and food. I’m not sure if they have recently transitioned to new ownership or management, but we were extremely disappointed with our recent experience. The margaritas we ordered tasted like syrup and soda water. When we inquired about the different recipe, the manager on staff simply said, “well, we switched to a pre-mixed recipe,” and gave no alternative solution. It’s unfortunate that this location has lost sight of taking care of their regulars. We’ll start frequenting the other establishments in the Dundee Historic District who understand the importance of the customers who live in their neighborhood.

Great place for street tacos, tacos, giant burritos or enchiladas. Super convenient Mexican food in Dundee. Small place with a small kitchen and big tasty food. Street tacos have lots of options for proteins. They also have very fresh guacamole. Chips (flour & corn) are fresh made, fresh fried and salted, delivered warm. Yum. Service is very good and the people that work here are friendly & nice. They have a good selection of beer and looked like a good select of tequila, too. They also have several TV's if you get tired of tasting tequila. We had a lot of chips & guacamole, a big taco salad with a lot of meat, cheese and a couple of chicken enchiladas with a lot of meat swimming in your choice of red or green sauce. Red sauce was very good, smooth and not too spicy. Lunch for two with drinks and a 20% tip was about $40. Good deal for a great lunch. We'll go back soon. Go to Dundee, grab a good tequila, get chips & guacamole or chips & queso and show up for their street tacos!

Unfortunately not what I was expecting. The new one on Deer Creek- food was OK.The service was disappointing. Nice 2 guys- but no sense of urgency. We waited 4-5 min. To be greeted. Then never asked how the food was or if we wanted another drink. Another 2 person table came in- they waited 5 min. Got up and left. Then 2 other tables of 3 came in and waited 4-5 min. It would been excusable if they were “busy.”For $10 a drink, the service better be great!Service is everything in Omaha- we have too many choices. Will maybe try again in a couple of months to see if the staff’s “Seabee of service and urgency “ got better. Back to Union we go.

First cantina I’ve been to that doesn’t offer complimentary chips and salsa ($5). We got 2 street tacos, 3 Texmex tacos, chips and queso, and 4 Margs (2 reg, 2 skinny) and our bill was $65. Staff was friendly. One drink came out wrong. For a place called Hoppy taco, we saw no IPAs or craft beer on the menu. Kinda of a bummer cause this place took over another cantina that was cheaper and better tasting. If you’re gonna go, the Al Pastor tacos were the best of the 5 different kinds we tried. Cilantro is their main ingredient.

If I could leave less than one star I would. The service was horrendous! We sat at the bar and still couldn’t get anybody to help us for a good 30 minutes. Our food was served to us incorrectly, and drinks were empty when they dropped off the food.. they still never even asked about another drink or water. The restaurant is so small that it is super claustrophobic
