Timber has the worst service I have ever had. From the hostess to the food runner to the waitstaff. It is as if the customers are ruining their day by being there and they are not shy letting you know that. There are so many good restaurants in Omaha to pick from, I recommend choosing anywhere else to spend your money at.

Atmosphere: decor is nice but tables are close together which makes it a little on the noisy side so conversation is challenging. Service was very good, punctual and attentive even though it was quite busy. Food had mixed reviews in our party of 4. The meatballs on both the appetizers and the dinner were delicious. The salmon was ok, but we were not impressed with the sauce on it. The cherry desert with ice cream was also yummy.

Had Saturday brunch and the food and atmosphere was perfect for our group. Joffrey was our waiter and made great recommendations and took great care of us. We were celebrating a birthday and he even surprised us with ice cream and a candle to make our celebration even more special. Highly recommend.

We had an excellent experience at Timber Wood Fire Bistro. We both ordered steak dinners and our steaks were both prepared as requested. The Turf & Surf plate was absolutely delicious! Our waiter for the night, Geoffrey, provided friendly and timely service. We were very pleased from appetizer to dessert and look forward to visiting again.

The food and staff are marvelous. The staff went out of their way to make things right. In this evening, it was busy and if you want a nice quiet date, this is not the place. It’s pretty loud with the interest and excitement going on. The waiter mentioned they are continually trying to work on acoustics.
I would imagine bellying up to the bar and people watching is great. The brisket taco’s, homemade mac & cheese, the Timberburger and any wood fire pizza - all very good. The meatball app is amazing.

Great food, great service and enjoyable time. Had the salmon and it was awesome. Daughter had the duck and son had a steak and both loved it! Plenty of seating and they have areas for big groups as well.

I only gave a second star because our first visit in Sept was amazing. I was braging about how good this place was and convinced my friend to let me take her there for her birthday. Biggest mistake ever. In one months time they had changed the menu. The prices had went up. Our server was rude, had no knowledge of the menu, and ignored us. My friend went to order the tuna steak and somehow at 5pm they were "out". I ordered the duck breast and my portion was so small and yet somehow every other portion in this place was huge. It was also overcooked(white and dry). I went to order the creme brulee and they claimed they hadnt hadnt had it on the menu in years, when in fact they had it last month. I watched the couple next to me order and eat it last time. The manager was rude and dimissive of my complaints. I was so embarrased because i bragged about this place. My friend said her food was not good as well. I will never come back here and please dont waste your money here. They treat you like crap if you are a walk in or poor looking.

I would say the best time to visit this restaurant is during Happy Hour. The cocktails are strong and the Happy Hour menu is full of wood fired pizza at fair prices. We tried the mussels and they were absolutely delicious. I'm pretty easy going with shellfish as long as they aren't spoiled, but the broth on these was absolutely wonderful and full of umami. Unfortunately, restaurants are being cheap with bread now days and three thin pieces of wood grilled toast was not enough to soak up it's deliciousness.; strike one.
I had the stroganoff off the main dinner menu. It was fine, but for $24 I was expecting better. The richness of the sour cream was missing. If sour cream was present, I couldn't taste it. The meat used was from a pot roast and it was perfectly cooked, but the flavor of it affected the gravy to the extent that I felt I was eating beef stew minus the carrots and potatoes; strike two. The noodles were almost overcooked and the mushrooms, though few were really nice. The mushrooms were a beautiful brown, their texture was firm, not mushy and they, although few, managed to elevate the dish somewhat.
The service was very nice. The manager is up front and involved. The wait staff are quite lovely and professional. I was reminded of high end, family run restaurants of the 70s.
The atmosphere is nice and with a slight degree of upscale comfortablility. The clientele appear to be upper middle class older group. I like a restaurant bar where people actually congregate at the bar, and the bar is active.
Overall I would recommend this restaurant. But first timers should try happy hour first I think the dinner menu prices might be dictated by the space rent. In another building, at lower prices, this restaurant might be considered a fine brasserie.

I always enjoy this place for excellent food and service. Ossama was our server and he is an absolute gem. He has great recommendations, wonderful knowledge of the menu and really went above and beyond. The Shrimp & Crab Cakes appetizer was delicious and I really could have just kept eating it in a larger portion as a main dish. My wife always gets the Cedar Planked Steelhead Salmon and goes back to it every times since it is so delicious. The Lamb Salisbury Steak was on special and was good but I would order something else the next time. I don't think my mind was ready for the Hunter Sauce and the steak otherwise tasted more like meatloaf. Not a bad dish but other things are better. It had a side of Grilled Four Cheese Bread Pudding that was out of this world and needs to be incorporated with another dish or put on the appetizer menu. Also, the Caesar Salad is very good. I have gotten the Beef Wellington in the past and should have gotten that again since it is a slice of heaven. By the way, get the Fire-Baked Focaccia - it is amazing! I was a little disappointed they were out of the Charred Grapefruit Tonic so I could not get the Metal Rooster to drink as that has been my favorite. The 007 Barrel Buffalo Old Fashioned, Rabbit Punch, Margarita and Dirty Martini were all very tasty.

Update September 2024:
I got the Strawberries and Cream French Toast for brunch and it had to be in the top 5 best French toast I've ever had. So rich and sweet! I also ordered a side of Biscuits and Gravy with was a great savory finish. Those in my group who got the Cast Iron Biscuit loved their meal and they must wake up early to make the biscuits because they are 12/10 awesome. Finally, the breakfast tacos were delicious, smoky and savory - simply amazing and wouldn't change a thing. Our server Maci was fast, friendly and helpful.

Update October 2024:
We enjoyed the brunch so much last time we brought our daughter who got the Cast Iron Biscuit and Mini Ricotta Pancake (both excellent). Our server Bret was very attentive and informative. He recommended the Durum Foccacia as an appetizer which was rich and delicious. The Seasonal Cider was a treat. I expected the Pineapple Tumbler to be more sweet and was a little disappointed but it was a very fresh drink.

Osaka J was our server. He has an elegant delivery but is warm and friendly. The food was outstanding. Everyone who worked at the restaurant we came in contact with was excellent at their jobs. This is a must go restaurant and hopefully you will fortunate enough to have Ossama J serve you.
