Trini's is a little gem inside the Old Market Passageway. The atmosphere with the plants hanging from the walls, the exposed brick, and the gentle lighting, creates a wonderful dining experience. The food is good but it's more Mexican inspired than actual Mexican or Tex-Mex. The Spanish Rice description says Trini got the recipe on a trip to Copenhagen. Our usual orders are the Seafood Nachos, Diablo Stew, and the Seafood Combo (seafood enchilada, shrimp taco, and shrimp skewer). Trini's has been a regular joint for us for years. It is and will continue to be one of our favorites.
Food was very plain. Underseasoned and overcooked. Margarita was middle of the road. Service was good.
Food was really bland and boring. Service was really quick though, but, the place was almost empty. Very quiet. Almost too quiet. Memorial Day weekend.
I don’t believe the guacamole was “fresh.” Smooth not chunky. It also lacked onion, a squeeze of lime and tomato or seasoning would have helped also. The cheese dip appetizer is similar to a store bought brand like Tostitos. Very blah! 4 people at our table and 3 ordered simple entrees like one taco or one burrito and waiter, who didn’t write it down, got the order wrong. Top shelf margaritas were good but overpriced when the pitcher had more ice than liquid. Very disappointing.
Stopped in for a drink and a snack. Nachos are really good especially for the price. Definitely would also recommend the margarita pitcher, makes roughly 4 margaritas, and it’s inexpensive. Would recommend if you are in the mood for Mexican food :)

Great location in Omaha's Old Market. It has nice character in a secluded brick alleyway right off of Howard Street. Made for an enjoyable dining experience. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating. The chicken fajitas were fabulous.
Vegetarian options: Mexican restaurants typically offer many vegetarian items since vegetarians eat dairy such as cheese and sour cream. Trini's offers veggie fajitas, beans, rice, chips, guacamole, salsas and salads. Just ask the waiter and I'm sure they will accommodate you.

The location was cool but the service was good up initially but it was like our server went into hiding as we never saw him again until he brought the bill.
The queso was the worst I have ever had.
The food was average and I am not sure how this restaurant has the rating they do.
I would not recommend this restaurant for your dining experience.

Good food. Nice staff. We went for lunch. I had a combo with taco, tamale, and cheese enchilada. It was tasty. Prices weren't too high. I will return again sometime.

The atmosphere was perfection, such a neat area. We loved sitting at one of the outside tables.
Our waitress was a sweet heart and super attentive.
Our food was great, my husband got the beef burrito with cheese sauce + rice and beans.
I got a fish taco and tried a beef enchilada. The beef enchilada was to die for, omg so good.
Chips and salsa was good, you could tell the chips were made fresh.
We will definitely be back next time we visit.
