Overall experience was good but the service was very slow. We were there for 30 minutes or more before we got our drinks and 45 before we got our food. It wasn't even super busy when we first arrived. Everyone enjoyed their meals but I wouldn't recommend the avocado melt. It had no flavor and was overloaded with raw red onions. I love red onions but this was even a bit much for me.

Great for brunch. I'm surprised about how available tables are at 10 on a Sunday. Let's go folks!

Food was ok. Staff was seemingly lost on how to provide friendly service. Hostess was obviously unfamiliar with the role (could use some additional training). Go, but only if you're up for biscuits with an attitude

We first walked in no one helped us just left us standing. The only person we seen was the bartender , so we went and seated ourselves. The bartender came to our table with menus. Bartender very kind , friendly and very helpful. We had the Mac & cheese, bacon collards, the half of fried chicken and fried pickles. The fried pickles, the chicken and bacon collards(lots of collard stems) was extremely salty, especially the fried chicken, they took the chicken back without the sprinkled beef pollen on it and it was still salty. The atmosphere is beautiful and the bartender was great.

Very tasty and fancy take on southern cuisine. I love fried okra and had to get that appetizer to share. Our entree was the fried chicken breast smothered in gravy with mac & cheese and collard greens. Everything was delicious but the greens were a bit too salty. Probably forgot to account for the extra salt in the country ham lol. Service was excellent and the place is gorgeous. We parked in parking garage just around the corner.

Wonderful service and delicious food! The blackened Mahi, stoned ground goat cheese grits and bacon braised collards were amazing! And the boozy turkey was one of the best old fashions I’ve ever had.

Fried Green Tomatoes
Well seasoned breading with basil
Mabe double breaded fried deliciously seasoned and Salted tomatoes , crispey breading that clings well to the tomatoe and the tomatoes isn't soggy or mushy has just a ever so slight snap to it when you bite no bitterness from over used fryer oil witch means they change there oil often or we where hear early
The Sauce a nicely balanced tang with a hint of sour and creamy when eaten together it makes the dish pop with a beautiful balance of savory , tangy and sour with a hint of sweet then add in the creaminess of the grits it's almost like ricotta

Fried pickles
Better then Texas road houses , nice and crisp with the thin breading and the butter milk is just delicious

Sides
Mac and cheese is deliciously cheeses mabe a house Madd cheese sauce or atleast a high quality restaurant factory sauce .
Nice springy elbow pasta well balanced salt levels and crispy topping

Onions rings
Almost perfectly Salted nicely crispy but not to crispy battered rings

Oakra
These are good , not slimy sometimes when Oakra isn't done right they get slimy But these where fried just right

Fried chicken
MAN this is great fried chicken great flavored perfectly done breading with just a hint of honey or something for sweetness .

Meat Loaf
Deliciously balanced pork and mabe a lil beef almost perfectly Salted with a savory slightly sweet sauce with a nice light smack of black pepper spice and subtle seasonings that try to sneak by with a hint of smokenes
Great texture on the outside with not too soft on the inside

Pecan pie
My spouse burnt a pican pie that tasted better it was so overally sweet they had to use corn syrup and way too much. it makes a soda taste bland it had good texture though but the shear level of sweetness makes it so you cant taste any of the pecan or maple or the crust or anything other Then cornsyurp

combine the meatloaf into the Mac and cheese it's sooooo damn good

Forgot to take pictures of the main dishes
The sides where the best

Obviously the food is always good. But also the staff is just lovely. I placed an order through doordash (But I've also been there many times), And my first Dasher stole my order. And the staff tonight coordinated With my last Dasher they assigned and got my order remade and sent out to me for my birthday. They also included a free banana pudding and a birthday candle. Which really just made my entire night. So not only do they provide phenomenal food and a stunning atmosphere, The staff is also just very thoughtful and very considerate and very kind. 10/10 absolutely will be coming again and ordering again.

Don't get me wrong, the food and vibes are great and I hope my main complaint was a one-off.

One member of our table ordered one of their non-alcoholic cocktail modifications (sparkling white grape juice instead of champagne) but the drink came with the alcohol in it. The server was confused about what they ordered (she said no one had ordered it that way before) but took the order.

Word to the wise: be very clear with the server and bartender if you wish to not drink alcohol in their mocktails.

Great service, good dirty martini, ok food. It's been so hyped up but I was disappointed. Smash burger was good, the shrimp and grits were bland. Tasty fried pickles. The outdoor patio is nice.

I was expecting more. I thought it lacked in spices. When I think southern I think spices. At the very least be lazy and throw in a dash of Old Bay or something. The fried brussel sprouts were on point tho. Plates were great in presentation and the place has a great atmosphere. Although I didn't drink, the place has a huge liquor selection. I'll think about going back but only if they let me bring in a bottle of Louisiana hot sauce.
