We recently had dinner at The Twisted Fork and had delicious food and great service. They were very busy the night we were there and service was great all around. We will be back.

The food was fantastic! Each of us chose a different dish - French dip, pot roast, chicken fried steak, and risotto chicken pot pie - and every dish was delicious. The wine and drink list included our favorite beverages, and the ambiance created a comfortable environment for a good meal. The restaurant is currently decorated for the holidays, which added to the fun. Twisted Fork is located in Omaha's Old Town, so easy to find and parking right outside the door.

Great atmosphere in old heritage building. Our food arrived fairly fast and staff were really nice. We ordered the meatloaf & french dip and both were great. The fries were fresh handcut and so good.

Good dinner service and atmosphere, but we decided on this particular place because they offered what the woman wanted. Crème Brûlée. We ordered it to go and didn’t even look at it until we made it back to the hotel. We got something with the consistency of melted ice cream that tastes like whipped cream with half a strawberry on top. While I found it hilarious, she was very disappointed and now I’m in the doghouse. Lose lose for me.

Great experience for dinner! Friendly staff. Ream stopped by my table and made my visit so welcoming! My meal was the Chicken truffle Pistou Grilled chicken breast, roasted garlic risotto, pan-charred Brussels Sprouts, Truffle Parmasean Pistou! An amazing meal!

We had the chicken fried bacon to start. Meatloaf n mac for my wife and the chicken pot pie risotto for myself, and the apple pear crumble desert. First, the bacon was outstanding. Not greasy, great texture and flavor. The risotto was delicious and definitely had a pot pie feel. The meatloaf n Mac was awesome as well. Vegetables were cooked perfectly with a great flavor. Meatloaf was outstanding as well as the mash potatoes and the gouda Mac. Lastly the desert hit me like a rhubarb desert from my childhood. Delicious. We also tried several mocktails and the watermelon mojito was my favorite. If you need a good relaxing atmosphere with great staff and food, definitely come here.

I was really looking forward to our dinner at Twisted Fork but I left disappointed due to the service. We did not have reservations but the restaurant wasn't crowded when we arrived on a Monday night. We were the only people waiting at the hostess podium for a long time and finally a waiter came flying by and said if we wanted to sit outside (as we requested) we'd have to wait. That seemed odd since there were only 2 tables occupied outside when we walked in. Finally he came back and took us to a table. He took our drink orders. My beer arrived but my husbands didn't. Waiter came to take our food order after an extended wait....still no beer for hubby which the waiter acknowledged. We asked a couple of questions about the menu and went with the waiters recommendations. Food arrived after the person bringing out the food tried to give it to the table beside us. Food was ok - still no beer. Beer showed up as we finished dinner. The other table outside was clearly frustrated with no service. We asked for the check and a bit disappointed that there was never an apology for the lack of beer/service nor a credit. Decided to just pay it and move on but eventually had to take the check inside to the bar in order to pay for it. Not sure what the staffing issue is, but hope they can fix it so they can be successful.
It was great service- food was ok- but lord gnats!! We fought gnats all night it made the experience not so pleasant!!!!! There is standing water or a leak somewhere, sorry!!

Even though I grew up in Omaha (I moved away 40 years ago) I had never visited the old market. I saw the name on the building and told my boyfriend that's where I wanted to eat lunch! Great decision! The food was absolutely wonderful! The service was great, loved the atmosphere!
