Great coffee, atmosphere & kindness

Never thought coffee could be so delicious. But more importantly the young lady working is / was amazing. Every employer should strive to have an employee like her. Kind courteous and knowledgeable. I'm not a huge coffee person, but when I need some, I'll definitely know where to go.

The best coffee shop in Omaha, no Nebraska, NO Best Coffee Shop Ever! This place is like home, warm, smells good and feels like one of mom's blankets on the back of the Davenport! You youngsters ask your grandparents what a Davenport is. Service is perfect, friendly efficient and with a smile. Want a sandwich? Egg salad, cucumber, or turkey? Yes please. And the treats. Homemade cookies and bars for the win. Don't ever get coffee anywhere else, ever!

For us (party of three) the coffee was just okay. It came across as burnt and even with a little flavoring the taste was okay at best. Service was great - no issues in this area; staff were welcoming, kind, and attentive. The scones were awesome! Overall? I’ll stop in again when I’m in the area, but won’t go out of my way to visit.

Stopped in for a quick pick-me-up during the lunchtime hour on a Tuesday. The barista was super sweet and helped us pick out the right drinks. The coffee itself was delicious. More than anything though, the vibe inside the cafe was spectacular, a cute little shop and a great way to support local coffee!

I am a very loyal to village grinder and I go every day. which is why I am disappointed. All of the baristas I've met are very nice but the old lady that owns the place is extremely rude. She's done multiple rude things to me and people I've been with. I was standing in line and waiting to order when she shoved past me to get around. She didn't say excuse me or even look at me but instead pushed me out of the way and made me drop my AirPods case causing the earbuds to fly out and i had to walk around the shop to find it. She didn't even look back or apologize which I find very rude especially as I am a paying costumer. Another time my wife was going to the bathroom and texted me to bring her a tampon. I walked down to bring it to her and the same lady told me I had to wait upstairs until the bathroom was open. I tried to explain but she very rudely told me she did not care. The last straw was when I went in last week for lunch. I came in and bought a drink and then I sat down and pulled out a sandwich I had brought from home. Again the same lady came up and told me I was not allowed to eat outside food in there unless I was a costumer. I told her that I had bought a drink and she said it was still not allowed. I said okay and put it away but I was confused because it's no different from the sandwiches they sell I just hadn't bought it from them. I will no longer be going to village grinder for this reason and I am very hurt by the way they treat their costumers.

I love this place so much. Every time we're in town we stock up on coffee beans and get some coffee to go. Absolutely phenomenal roasts and great customer service.

We got a pumpkin spice decaf latte and pumpkin cake. Delish! Latte was very smooth and the cake was just right, not too sweet. We sat outside as it was nice, sunny and warm. The inside of the cafe was very warm and inviting. Decorated for fall. My favorite season.

Unquestionably, the best coffee shop in the area! I’m so thankful that finally, I was able to find this spot for some good coffee a few blocks from my house, that has it all! The service is friendly and fast, it’s all around the best coffee shop I have ever been to. (And I’ve been to lots). If you haven’t had a chance to try the Pumpkin Bread Latte, I highly suggest it with Oat Milk, chilled! Sooooooo gooood! Thank you VG, for having the best coffee establishment in town! Oh, don’t forget to have their chocolate cookies ??☕️? Kid-friendliness: Great Drinks and Treats for all ages!

Very nice little coffee stop! They have a variety of baked goods and coffee selections. Various little gifts, candles, Husker gear, and even a corner where they sell coffee beans and candy. You can even get the fresh beans ground there. They only have about three sugar free flavors but my SF iced vanilla latte was delicious! Service was fast and friendly! I also enjoyed a blueberry muffin! Very cute and quaint little shop!
