Always an excellent meal!! Love their carrot salad dressing which tops a nicely presented lettuce salad. (Presented beautifully with halved tomatoes on top of cucumbers lining the plate. ) Salad is always chilled and crisp. Great salad!! We both had salmon, one cashew crusted, the other one soy honey ginger!! Both so good!!! And the ginger sauce accompanying each was artistically applied around and near the salmon fillets. A work of art!! Not only is the food delicious but it is presented so beautifully. Makes a meal an experience!!
Nice peaceful restaurant, with great food.

Honestly, I don't understand the hype and all the 5-star reviews on this place. We were there on NYE which was probably a mistake. They were very busy and after we refused to be seated in front of the door (it was cold!) our service was awful. It took 20 minutes to get our drink order taken and over an hour to get our food, while tables that came in after us had already completed their meals. No one refilled our water or asked if we wanted a second drink. And then there was the food. The crab cakes were very tasty but there wasn't a whole lot of crab meat for an appetizer picked over $20. The seafood dynamite was described as spicy - I guess they consider coconut milk a spice? It was terrible, so sweet that it was almost inedible. My husband ordered a special that was described as containing seafood, beef and peppers, but surprisingly it also contained a load of mushrooms and he hates mushrooms! After we had waited so long for our food, he was hesitant to ask for another entree, so he picked out the mushrooms and dealt with it. We spoke with a manager who thanked us for our concerns, but they did not offer anything to make it right. We aren't the type of people who expect meals to be comp'ed, but for a tab of $118 before tip, we expected better. We won't be back.

The staff is very attentive, courteous, informative, and friendly. The food is special and unique. It is always consistent in quality and taste. This is a hidden gem. Please try.
Honestly, I don't understand the hype and all the 5-star reviews on this place, as we were really excited to go here because of that. We were there on NYE which was probably a mistake, but also would think that wherever we went, they were prepared to be busy as well. They were very busy and after we asked to not be seated in front of the door (it was cold!) our service was awful. It took 20 minutes to get our drink order taken and over an hour to get our food, while tables that came in after us had already completed their meals and tabbed out. No one refilled our water or asked if we wanted a second drink. And then there was the food. The crab cakes (balls) were very tasty but they were small and there wasn't a whole lot of crab meat for $21. The seafood dynamite my wife ordered was described as spicy - is coconut milk a spice? My wife said it was "terrible, so sweet that it was almost inedible." I ordered a special that was described as seafood, beef and peppers, but surprisingly it also contained a load of mushrooms cooked in, yet they were the only ingredient not mentioned as ingredients, and I hate mushrooms. We would've asked our waitress if they could kindly remake it or order something else, but never saw her again until we were done and she asked us if we wanted desert. After we were done eating we finally spoke with a manager who thanked us for our concerns and kept telling us how busy it was, but they did not even ask if there was anything they can do to make it right. We told her that we totally expected it to be busy, and were plenty prepared to be patient, but also pointed out that numerous other tables around us were in after us and finished eating their dinners before we even got ours. We aren't the type of people who expect meals to be comp'ed, but for a tab of $118 before tip, we expected better, even if it just meant a refill of water (which we also asked for) or simply asking how our food was after having a few bites. We won't be back.
Although white tablecloth dining, it is casual. Service wasn't the most punctual but staff is friendly. The food was good. We had gumbo and chicken fried rice.
the food was out of this world. We all order something different and the taste was outstanding. The crab cakes were fabulous and the portions were very generous for the price. Highly recommend.
Another delicious dinner at Wave. I had the szechuan shrimp and asked if they could turn the spice level up a bit, which was no problem. Great service, too.
So, I took my wife there for my birthday for the second time I’ve ever eaten there. The first experience I had was lunch a few months back, which was excellent. This time, however not so good. The nighttime server was let’s say was a little arrogant and suggested things that I didn’t want. I asked for fried egg noodles to put on top of my hot and sour soup. This I was informed that they didn’t have this, and the cooks could not make these. The last time we were there for lunch they had no problem doing this for us. He then proceeded to bring us out rice noodles instead. Which are not even close to what a fried egg noodle is in the soup. We then proceeded to put our order in for food of
which he mixed up. My wife’s was made the way I wanted mine with no onion and mine included onion, which I request requested no onion. He knew he was wrong by admitting it. Then instead of making it right, he basically asked me to pick the onions off of which I did. Right then and there this was completely unacceptable for the price of this meal. We didn’t say anything and proceeded to eat and finish our meal. Being an ex-chef the first thing that server should’ve done was to remake our plates correctly. This could be why they only had three tables in the whole restaurant at 5:30pm. Also, when we were paying the bill and leaving the table to walk out the door, he was texting on his phone and did not even bother, saying goodbye to us. Apparently his phone call was more important than his customers that are paying his bills. We will not be returning most likely due to the poor service and attitude. The food was average and not as good as the last time for lunch. Disappointing to spend $80 for two people and have a horrible experience like this. It seemed like the other tables they were regulars or friends with and provided them with better service and kindness. I’m sure their plates would’ve been remade due to his error.

Our first time at Wave Bistro. I had the green curry with vegetables and it was out of this world. My husband had the shrimp fried rice and loved it. Great food, prompt service and clean restaurant. We'll be back for sure.
We now live on Lake of the Ozarks and when we make the 6 hr drive back, this is our must go to dinner venue.

The Wave Bistro is one of the best. My party was all served at once. That's important to me.
