We've cut our dining at wheatfields due to increased pricing and everything going a la carte basically. Paying four to six dollars for fries or something on top of a $14 sandwich is not something that I can really justify - often or at all. I totally understand that inflation and other things have prompted price increases. We dine out a lot and have a lot of perspective. It just seems that the value and quality for what we're asked to pay isn't there anymore. Sadly. Love the bakery. Miss the old model.

It was an excellent place for breakfast and coffee. I never try to come here for lunch, but I love it here for breakfast. They have so many things on the menu, especially desserts. ?

My breakfast was nothing to rave about. Bought a half dozen "muffins" which had the consistency of 3 day old dry biscuits, unfortunately u don't have negative ?, u have been better, what happened?

Cold eggs, no toast, then.cold burnt toast arrived 10 minutes later. Not busy by previous visit standards. Have been here many times when line was out the door. Poor service, food was not eaten and manager still thought payment was due. Total disappointment. Won't waste time going back.

This used to be my favorite breakfast and lunch places in Omaha. The quality of food and ingredients has really gone downhill. Stale pastries, weak coffee (it looked like tea), and bland food.

Can't believe they can't split checks on the weekend, having waited tables a lot when younger and having to do it by hand I don't know what the problem is now. Also, who puts green onions on biscuits and gravy and then they can't leave them off...

Great food nice environment, Only wish they would keep their political views private as a public establishment with people from all walks of life working there i don't feel it's a good look.

Restaurant was not busy, no waiting line, and several open tables.
First, our sever was GREAT (5 stars for her), she was responsive and respectful. However, our hostess was extremely rude. She sat us at a table where the sun was shining right at my face and on our table (there was no way to adjust in our seats to avoid it). I asked the hostess, “Will you please move us to a different table? The sun is too bright.” She tried to move the shade down but it was already down and not effective. She rudely responded with something incomprehensible with her back turned to me. I asked again, “Will you please move us?” She rolled her eyes, nodded ‘yes’ and just stood there in place. I asked, “Which table should we go to?” She rudely waved her hand around and said, “Wherever you want!” So we got up and sat ourselves at another table.
The details: My 7 year old son and I went for a special Mama Son breakfast on a day he was out of school. He is very well behaved at restaurants and we do not ask for food substitutions…we are really low maintenance. I just didn’t want the sun shining in my face while enjoying a special breakfast with my son. Asking for a comfortable table shouldn’t be such an inconvenience since I was paying $32 and change for 2 meals consisting of 4 scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of toast, a pancake, 6 strips of bacon, coffee and orange juice.

Within the last two days we have spent over $100 at this bakery. Yesterday was an amazing experience. The woman who was closing was patient, kind and gave us good sized portions/toppings. She was working alone which seemed odd for how busy it was; we made sure to tip her. We go back today to grab more bakery items and a few for my mother. I got several of the mini pecan rolls and asked if they could be split up in between boxes because they were going different places. I was told no, because I’m getting a better deal buying 6 rolls, so if they gave me different packaging they’d lose out on money. He asked who I was giving rolls to and I said my mom and grandfather. He goes “oh you like your mom?” Awkward. I told them I will buy the containers, and the man who was helping me rolled his eyes and went to ask someone (assuming a manager or owner) if I could buy an extra container. Today the pecan to roll/caramel ratio was way off compared to yesterday. He left so much on the plate, instead of putting it on top of the bare rolls (like the woman did yesterday) After purchasing my items we went home and before I gave my sons their Halloween cookies, I noticed there was hair on the inside of the container on both cookies. I took pictures and then called the restaurant. The man who rang me up answered and told me I didn’t need to speak with a manager that he could just write me down for two cookies. I told him that I had taken pictures of the cookies, the containers and the hair so that when I come in I can show them. He did not apologize. Didn’t offer something for the inconvenience he suggested I come back in and get two new cookies. I went back in to grab my two replacement cookies and a different man who I believe was the owner or manager told me I needed to bring in the cookies if I wanted a replacement. I told him they went into the trash because I wasn’t told on the phone I needed to bring them in. I told him I had pictures of the hair on the cookie and in the container and when I pulled up the pictures to show him, he didn’t look at my phone and waved me off. I told the man that I’ve spent over $100 dollars the last 2 days the last thing I’m trying to do is rip them off for two cheap cookies. It is a slap in the face to be inconvenienced with food that isn’t edible, have to drive back across town for replacements and then be accused of scamming for 2 sugar cookies. He ended up giving me two cookies and told me that in the future if I expect a replacement I need to bring the bad product back in. I would sure hope that there wouldn’t be a next time when it comes to having hair in our food. The owner/manager is not friendly. If I owned a business and someone told me they had hair in their food, I would be apologizing and making it right. I would not be having an attitude and insinuating my customer is lying. If I was trying to get over on them I’d complain about the most expensive product. I wish the last two times I stepped into this place were as good as the first time but it isn’t and I am going to look for a new place for baked goods. Treating customers properly is a way to make sure they continue to come back, someone should pass that on to the owner. Looking at most of these reviews, it seems someone missed out on business class as well as ethics.
