A fabulous place, love it
Here the Winery is listed as Capriolo, however the sign out front says Windcrest. Also, the Winery was listed as open, however, at 3pm on Saturday 26 Apr, the location was closed, I. E., neither winery was open.
The winery and vineyard were amazing! The owners are very nice and super helpful with all my questions about types of wines and questions about the process of making wine. The tasting room was so cozy and inviting and had lots of comfy seating both in the room and around the actual bar. The aroma of the homemade candles was inviting as well as the opportunity to taste any or all the wines the vineyard produced. I am definitely going to tell my family and friends about this amazing place.
Amazing owner they tended to us very well and the winery is very well kept and the wine is amazing.
A group of us arrived at the winery 4/6/24. The view was outstanding. Shannon, the owner, was so lovely. She will be a great person to turn this winery around. She has also produced her first wine and she did a great job! Excited to see the future success of this Nebraska winery.
The wines are great and the (new) owners are awesome and beyond cordial. The tasting room isn't fancy, but is very comfy and relaxing. Can't wait to see how they continue to improve it and put more of their stamp on the place!
Alot has changed with the new owners. Everyone who gave a bad review needs to give it another attempt. I enjoyed talking to the owner and other guests. Autumn Gold was my favorite wine.
Excellent wine and great conversation with owner
Sorry, you can't taste the product. Buy a bottle. "Dry Red please". Them, "would you like it from the fridge?". Something is wrong I should have left.1) hybrid French grapes... Is there a market?2) Can't pre-taste!3) Both the red and white wines were brown!4) Tasted wrong from the start.5) We tried to give it to other visitors. They said, No!6) All of us dumped the wines out.Lesson: If you can't taste, RUN!Optimistic take away: Might have gone bad in in the bottle and they did offer to exchange it.
No tasting unfortunately, so bought a bottle of there semi-dry edelweiss, it was undrinkable. Stick with James Arthur they have a great edelweiss

We stayed here via Harvest Hosts and had a lovely evening soaking up the views. We sampled the Crest Red and really enjoyed it.
It was a little disappointing. No wine tasting. Place is absolutely gorgeous. Owner was very welcoming. Hopefully wine tasting will come back
Call ahead I guess.Struggled to pick a star for this. Looked awesome but they didn’t open when they’re website said they would. There was a sign with a number to call so we did but it went to voicemail. Sad we drove over an hour to come out and no one was available during their business hours on a Saturday.
Great wine, great view, the owners are extremely welcoming. We will be back!
Great place to go and I 100% recommend. Great people and great experience. ❤️?
