“So, I'm kind of wary about Mexican restaurants. I like Mexican food a lot but it seems like a lot of tex-mex style restaurants have food that all tastes the exact same and, unfortunately, bland and generic. But we did our taxes tonight and as a reward, we went to go get margs and dinner and Las Palomas. And man, that was a *good decision*. They don't have the liquor license yet, which is a bummer because their margs look like they're going to be really good, but the food was easily worth the visit. The chips were warm and the salsa was perfect, not too hot but still really flavorful. We got fajitas jalisco and every part of the dish was fantastic. The rice was flavorful and perfectly cooked, not dry at all, the beans were really savory and good, the guac was light and refreshing and awesome and the meat and peppers were seasoned beautifully. People that don't do well with spice will do fine with the food and for those who do want spice, the salsa is pretty great and there's plenty of Tapatio on hand. The service was also really good and SUPER fast, especially for how good it was. The restaurant looks fantastic too, everything is super bright and clean and refreshed.”
“My son had the pepperoni pizza and my husband and i had buffet. Buffet had a good/fresh salad bar and 3 pizzas to choose from. It was priced very reasonable.”
“I personally love to sit at the window and people watch over an extraordinary and not to mention CLEAN (halal is the correct word, I believe) food!! I've met Omar 2x and he is a delightful, intelligent and handsome young man! I will visit this place again and again!! **Edited as it should have been a 5 STAR REVIEW!!**Dietary restrictions: I do have dietary restrictions... Too many to list... And they have no problem customizing your menu!Parking: Depending on how busy it is downtown...parking could be a challenge on the street but if you can walk a few blocks-its worth it!Kid-friendliness: Idk if it's "kid friendly" however they don't frown on or evil eye children being children. Now.... running around like tasmanian devils may illicit different results.Wheelchair accessibility: Handicap spots are available in front of the restaurant and along the street!”
“I've been coming to this place on-and-off for a few months. It's everything you hope for when you go to a "locally-owned sandwich shop." It's "Sid's Deli," and you walk in and sometimes it's Sid who's making your sandwich.Everyone there's friendly and they have a good rapport behind the counter. And they really care about the food: the bread and toppings are fresh, the meat sliced to your order. It matters; it makes their food delicious; try it for yourself. The prices are good. They're comparable to any chain you'd be going to otherwise. The interior has the same look that every deli seems to have, which I find familiar and comforting.Would recommend.”
“This is one of our favorite dinner spots in Lincoln! The food is incredible everytime. We usually have the lamb dish, the vegan combo, and the sambusa for an appetizer. So full of flavor and Cleary made with love. One of the greatest joys of eating here is the teff injera bread that comes with everything, we crave it!”
“All the food we had was fresh and yummy! The place was a bit obscure and parking was a bit of challenge. There were definitely options for vegetarians as well. It’s definitely worth a visit. The bathroom would not be very handicap accessible (I have pics). So that’s definitely a consideration for you if that’s something you need.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options available.Dietary restrictions: It’s halal so no pork. Not strictly GF but could find options depending on how sensitive you were to gluten.Parking: Parking is around back and on the street.Kid-friendliness: It’s not geared for children but not unfriendly either.Wheelchair accessibility: Not great accessibility. Getting in and seated could be done but the bathroom is not accessible.”
“A cute little concept for a Cafe! The food was cheap and delicious. Some great breakfast options; the sandwiches were simple and made fresh. Service was fast and friendly. We got the $5 price to the board games library too and their selection is incredible! Some of the more popular ones were missing pieces which is a shame but overall most of them were pretty fresh and had everything you needed to play. It was a great time and I recommend it to any board game nerds!”
“I come to this place all the time! The atmosphere and service is great. Katie is my favorite! She is so nice and very good at her job.Parking: All around the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs if u park in front of restaurant”
“Definitely a spot to go to for lunch or a late night meal if you are downtown. The shawarma and korma are hands down the best in the city. Generous portions at a generous price. Mmmmm mmm so good!Vegetarian options: Falafel, hummus, pita, naan, salad, tzatziki..”
“Tried Heoya for the first time ever yesterday and I am already craving it. I got the morgan box with a side of crab rangoon and I ate every last piece of my food which is RARE for me especially when getting an appetizer too. I also really liked the sauce for the crab rangoon as it isn’t the typical sweet and sour sauce. My fiance had the korean fries and didn’t like the amount of sauce on them but said they were still amazing! On the other hand I loved the amount of sauce in my box and I’m sure if we ask for less next time they would oblige.”
“Great space with a neat esthetic and friendly barista! She was so personable and kind- turned out to be the owner! Enjoyed my coffee, shop had a great layout, and don’t get me started on the cinnamon waffle. Their coffee special and a treat was under $8- both very tasty. A good choice whether you’re looking for a place to study like I was or to catch up with friends!”
“Don't let first impressions fool you when you walk in. I enjoyed the Torta de Lengua - the way the bread was grilled, and the lengua was well-prepared. The birria nachos were very good, with generous portions. Give this place a try!”
“Great location with parking! The only thing I ordered here has been matcha, and it's okay, not the best tasting but it's doable and the price is fair! I would come back here to try their coffee! The place is super cute!”
“Great food and service! Their beer selection is impressive, and they have a beer club. The food menu may be a bit limited for some, but what they offer is very good. Don't forget to ask about their military discount!”
“This is my favorite place to get pho! I always get Pho Nguyen when I’m sick, when I need a pick me up, and also whenever because it’s so good. They have amazing vegetarian and vegan options, more than any other place in Lincoln. I recommend the spring rolls and the vegetarian pho!”
“Banh mi sandwiches are the best I’ve had anywhere in Lincoln. We tried the grilled beef in betel leaf, pork, and combination. They were all so good and each had a unique flavor. The bread was just amazing!!!! I can’t say enough good things about the sandwiches. We also tried a few pastries including the strawberry custard puffed pastry, the cream puffs and biscotti. Delicious!Customer service was also top notch. Kind and friendly. This will be my banh mi go-to spot for sure!!”
“Delicious fresh Mexican burritos, salads, and bowls in a charming Cafe-like atmosphere. They also have a nice selection of beer and alcohol, if you're interested.”
“We finally got a chance recently and it was great. It will definitely be our go to for any all you can eat Sushi. It’s hands down better than any other all you can eat sushi in town and better than most other regular sushi joints.Fire Cracker was great. Good portions for Sashimi. Kasumi roll and Sunshine roll were my favorite. The chicken karaage with yum yum sauce were great. There was just so much choice and it was all good.My wife and kid loved it. My MIL loved it. A+, will be back often.”
“Cant find a better hole in the wall restaurant like this, sad thing is I've drove by 100s of times without stopping. Will be making many more stops from now on.”
“We had a good time at this restaurant, the food was tasty and the service was friendly. However, we were very disappointed with the portion sizes, especially for the desserts and drinks. Our $15 piece of cake was so tiny that it looked like someone had already eaten most of it before bringing it to us. The cocktails were also expensive and served in small glasses. We expected more value for our money and left feeling unsatisfied.”
“OVERALL this is a very solid place. We went on Saturday though, and it gave a little disappoint.Kids wanted nachos to start as a splitter. I asked the server "do you have anything really spicy? Some extra-hot sauce? Fresh jalapenos, anything??" She said "not really" and offered Cholula (which was past its expiration date). The nachos CAME with fresh jalapenos so that was a nice touch. Their salsa was kind of sweet and bland. But this isn't a Mexican restaurant so I should be less critical probably. We had a Sirloin / Gorg salad and the portion of steak was fairly small (seemed too small for an $18 salad) and at least a quarter of the steak was inedible as it was gristle / connective tissue. The salad was a little bland from lack of dressing and the dressing itself seemed "blah".We split Poutine with chicken as well and it was very fun / indulgent. Good to split because it's a lot of richness.BIG PRAISE for the bartender for making two very solid martinis. He took his time and did them right.Service at the table was solid but the noise in the train car room is just deafening. Hard to have a non-shouting conversation. They need to put something soft on the walls to absorb some of the echo.Leadbelly is a good spot but this was the first kind of "meh" visit. We'll be back and hope for better.”
“Been a while since I'd been to Super Taco and was afraid that maybe it wouldn't be as good as I'd remembered. Nope. Fantastic food, huge servings (commiserate with the higher price per plate), great service, tasty salsa choices. I love this place.”
“By far the best Pho I’ve had since moving back to Nebraska. It’s crave-worthy, I had it for lunch today and still thinking about having it for lunch tomorrow. That broth and brisket is so good!!! Only suggestion is to invest in the bigger take out bowls.”
“Wonderful steam pot! Food was just fantastic! Can't wait until I can visit again. Many tables had the hot pot, it looked so good so next time I will have to try it.”
“Fun local coffee shop. Had a breakfast burrito while I was there. It was so-so, but the wife said the coffee was good. (I don't drink coffee). Atmosphere was fun with lots to look at.”
“On a whim last night we decided to go try this place last night, because we have heard raving reviews. Those reviews were absolutely hands down correct, and then some!!”
“Always a great place to get something to eat late at night. The staff is typically very friendly and will answer questions about the menu. The chicken kabob is worth the ”
“Very prompt service and delicious burger/fries! We stopped here on our way from Michigan to Colorado to eat and stretch our legs. So glad we decided to give them a try!”
“This was my first visit to this hidden food gem! The gentleman working there was very friendly. The establishment was very clean. Nice array of food on the menu. The doctored up fries were outstanding. Tabouli salad was delicious! Prices are very reasonable. Healthy food compared to other fast food places. I will definitely return on the near future!”
“Took my wife to the Haunted tour. We did one 2 or 3 years ago and it was fantastic. This year was kind of ho hum. Couldn't hear them and it was very boring ? the wine was definitely delicious ?”
