The food is hot,fresh,and perfectly seasoned when it comes to your table. It is authentic,good Mexican food. The wait staff is very friendly. The menu has a lot of variety. It is a great place to eat they just need a bigger space as it is becomming quite popular.
Business associates first took me to Taqueria Hernandez in Altus. It's located on the square at the southwest corner of the courthouse, on the side street. It's not fancy, not big and not flashy...but it is so good! Authentic and "FreshMex" style item choices (I love the chicken quesadillo, it's my favorite. This restaurant is incredible. It’s a family run, no-frills authentic Mexican restaurant. I ordered the steak Ranchero with shrimp, the meal was amazing. The side dishes including the rice and tortillas were fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like authentic Mexican food, with bold flavors.
