My teen daughter & I were in SC for a basketball tournament so I searched for top restaurants and LJ popped up. The Mexican lovers we are…indulged. Reviewers warned of waiting line, so we went expecting a much longer wait (was about 20 mins; line was to the back door). On recommendation from students at Morningside University, we visited the restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The food was really good, and the rice milk was delicious. Definitely will be back for more.

This side of the river is way better then the other Juanitas on 14th and Pierce. Food is better, service is way better, and never once has anything been wrong like at the spot in Sioux City does every time. My go to is Chili Verde or Chili Rojo. Plus the bonus is the drive thru in case you don't want to go inside, but the inside is always clean.
