“We were visiting Superior, Nebraska the last few days. Someone suggested trying the Velvet Rose! We did and had delicious home cooked meals! The food was fantastic but the friendly atmosphere was priceless! My husband would recommend the biscuits and cream gravy! My favorite was the crispy bacon! Drop by and make sure you visit a few minutes with the owners, Peg and Kent Bargen but don’t forget to eat! Thanks Peg for the beautiful cross! Judy and Bill McCullough Friendswood, Texas”
“It's like stepping back in time, in the best of ways. This place is cozy, inviting and the old school jukebox in the corner is quite the treat! Had a frosted mint mivha and it was delicious...loved the extra whip and the chocolate coffee bean on top. Just a really pleasant place to visit.”
“We stopped in on a spontaneous roadtrip and had a great time. All of the wines are delicious as is the pizza. Had a nice time chatting with the owners and will definitely go back!”
“Now called Bagley Burger Bar. Don't know about ice cream, but burgers are great! Daily specials. Good fries. Would be a regular if we lived here! Hint: bathrooms are on the ice cream side!”
“I order from this location several times a month by phone for lunch. My sandwhich is pretty intricate and I am very particular about it being just right. Angie and her crew always knock it out of the park and I never leave dissapointed. Staff here is always very friendly and the restaurant stays clean and organized. This is the second best place to eat in Superior regardless of it being a corporation.”
“A cozy lil shop out by the lake, featuring some basic essentials like fishing supplies basic boat gear, a dining hall, beer, drinks, and some simple but decent food. My friend and I stopped in to grab a bite. I got the pulled pork, chips, and a pickle, and he got the rib sandwich. The flavor and juiciness of the sandwiches were on point, the bbq sauce was pleasant, and the ladies on duty were overall honest and pleasant. It was a pretty good experience overall for those who need something without leaving the beautiful scenery of the lake. I'd definitely recommend a stop in if you aren't super picky and want some decent hot food.Only one thing I found weird was the gals mentioned something about the Philly cheese steak having sour cream. As a cook myself, I found that to be an unusual and weird thing to hear....ain't any Philly I ever heard of with swiss and sour cream...lol. I've heard of various cheeses and....even sauces....but sour cream was a new one on me.Otherwise? Definitely will hit the place up again. That rib sandwich ? looked pretty tasty. We might have to swap meals next time haha.”
“This restaurant’s decor was beautiful and cozy…. all around great atmosphere, food was delish ? service a excellent, will go there each time we are around. Thanks for the great evening meal ?”
