** NOT ** DOG FRIENDLY (even on patio)
We were told when we were seated that even though they only allow service dogs, it would be fine if we sat on the patio right at the corner adjacent to the grass where our dog sat quietly in the grass (small quiet dog). AFTER we received our drinks and had ordered, the 20 something manager came out and told us coldly that our dog (who was sitting quietly off the patio on the grass connected to a 3 ft leash) would need to sit in the hot car and that she needed to leave the area immediately and could not be anywhere on their property, only the parking lot. We had to put her in the car on this 90 degree day with the windows open about 15 feet from us on the patio where she barked her head off. We ate as quickly as we could, paid the $80 lunch and left. Our day of hiking in the area had been lovely until this.
We’ve lived here for 6 years and just finally tried Copper Door. We had heard/read random negative reviews and never tried them for ourselves. Totally a mistake. What an amazing option for a date night or just a quality meal out of the house. The parking lot was full when we arrived, but we were sat immediately as a party of two. The atmosphere is classy, warm and upbeat. They had live music as well. Our server, Jed, was attentive throughout our entire meal and gave us wonderful drink/meal suggestions. We ordered the shepherds pie and fish tacos. Jed had various cocktails created for us and everything was perfect. The fish tacos were the best we’ve ever had - crunchy throughout the entire meal. We will definitely be returning and bringing our kids next time. So glad we finally gave Copper Door a try!
We really enjoy sitting in the bar area of The Copper Door. It is quite than the main restaurant. The service is always impeccable. Kyle was great.
Went to the Copper Door with my boyfriend. We both got drinks, apps, entrees & dessert. Bill with tip was over $200. Don't get me wrong, food was great, service was excellent. Just be prepared for the cost.
Great food, good service.
Food and staff were good.
managed by a maga hatemonger, wouldn't spend a cent in this place until he's removed
We sat on the patio and got attached by bees the entire meal. Any other place and this would have been a deal breaker, but our server Maria was so funny and nice and attentive that she saved the whole day. The appetizers were delicious. The Reuben sandwich was terrible. I'd still go back to see Maria again. She's a national treasure.

Went with my husband for our Anniversary dinner. We have not been to the Copper Door in quite some time. Always felt it was more for special occasions as it is a bit pricey. Well, I don't know what happened from 2011 to 2024 but the food is not the quality you would expect and what we remembered. (where is chef Nicole?). Anyway, I ordered the fried chicken dinner. Now, I remember this as two specially prepared chicken breasts with a light breading, creamy mashed and gravy and a side veg. What I got was two ginormous chicken breasts that were overly breaded, garlic mashed (who serves that with chicken gravy?) that was very dry on it's own and asparagus which was actually cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the seafood casserole (also came with garlic mashed). He said the fish was the only redeeming part as the shrimp and the scallops were way overcooked. This was mentioned to our server and her response was to redo the meal. Aren't we supposed to eat our meals together? Also, she never said that she would send a manager over to talk about the meal. We are not ones to expect free anything but feel it a responsibility to let them know. A side note: We ordered the calamari appetizer and it was cooked perfectly and we both enjoyed it. My husband was really beside himself that he spent $115.00 for a meal (not including tip) that was barely edible. Unfortunately, we won't return. Hope they can work things out with their cook staff because it just wasn't as good as it could have been.
