We tried again after taking a long hiatus from Murphy's and were disappointed again. First, we expected some nicer touched for Valentine's day, not just a red napkin and unlit candle. But the food was lack luster, there was no flavor in either dish and adding salt didn't solve the issue. Our server was fantastic and deserved all the stars, but the food meh for the price.

For an event, the food was not great. The beat was extremely fatty. Food did come out cold. The ravioli was very rubbery. The server was extremely lovely.

Went on NYE so I expected it to be busy but it was a bad experience. Took an hour to get appetizers then our food came out a few minutes later and 3 of 4 of the meals were legitimately cold. The server was clearly way overwhelmed and inattentive (though I can't blame her if management didn't bother scheduling additional staff to account for the people. They certainly added lots of event tables and chairs though.) I wouldn't go back.

6 of us dining for NYE before the comedy show. Our waitress Kayla was good and attentive. Drinks were good. Appetizer of chicken wings was mediocre. One of the meatloaf dinners was cold. Filet au poivre was tough. Had to ask for a steak knife to cut it. Mashed potatoes were lumpy and not hot...sauce was tasteless. It was a pricey item... Only pleasant surprise was the senior discount which we appreciated ...

Food and service was excellent. There was an event starting when we arrived that made the atmosphere seem louder and more chaotic than necessary as the doors to that room were left open. Someone lit the fireplace in that room and for some reason it filled the entire restaurant with smoke. It was odd that no one ever said anything about that to us as it got extremely smoky at one point. Eventually they figured it out and things cleared up. Afterwards they had a guy playing live music. He was awesome and added a greatness to the atmosphere except that the speakers were so loud, we were 4 adults and found ourselves screaming during conversations. All in all was a pleasant experience and will most likely try again.

While we had a terrible experience here at Thanksgiving, we decided to go back for Christmas Eve and we are so glad we did. It was the best Christmas Eve dinner we've had! The food was amazing, the staff was so attentive, the drinks were great and the owner was very gracious. Christmas music was playing and it was a truly magical evening. There were 4 of us and we didn't want it to end, so we were there quite a while. I want to thank the staff and management for making this a very special Christmas Eve dinner for us. We will definitely make this a holiday tradition.

My husband attended an event and was blown away by how poor the food and service was. The event coordinator and my husband both told the waitress my husband has a severe dairy allergy. First he was served a Caesar salad with caesar dressing and cheese, which he obviously can't eat. The waiter took it away and did not offer anything else. My husband did go ask for a plain salad and maybe olive oil and balsamic vinegar. He got a bowl of romaine and croutons (he avoided the croutons as they often contain dairy). The waitress did bring the balsamic after the salad was eaten. The main course they gave him sweet potatoes with cream. My husband did give the waitress the sweet potatoes and she was going to bring him some more vegetables but never did. The water glasses for the room were only filled once. Many other participants complained about the food as well. The broccolini was very undercooked and over spiced. Staff did not clear the salad plates before serving the main course and participants piled the dishes between them on the tables. The room was also quite cold. My husband keeps our house at 57-62 so for him to say it was cold is very unusual.

A group of friends dine here yearly for a holiday gathering. Murphys always gives us our table request. The server was pleasant and terrific! New menu items delicious. This was our 5th year.

The service was excellent! Our server was informative and helpful with our group of 4 people. the food was very good and there was a musician there signing acoustic versions of songs for the Holidays. We were also presently surprised to see that there was a Senior Discount for 25% on anyone over 60! we had 2 people in our party that qualified AND the server also asked if it was a special occasion (it was my birthday weekend celebration) so she gave us a complimentary dessert as well (lava cake was delicious). For a "taproom" the ambience was warm and not too loud and we would definitely be back. The food was delicious and the wine and drinks selection was very expansive.

This was our first time dinning at Murphy's Taproom and overall, our experience was great. The food was amazing and we enjoyed the live music. The service was great, we did wait about 15 minutes for someone to come to our table once we were seated but once we were seen the timeliness of service was fantastic. 100% recommend and will be dinning there again.

Terrible service. Messes everywhere. Clearly very overwhelmed and exhausted staff. Waited 20+ minutes multiple times for clean plates at the buffet line as well as for refills on soft drinks. Children were at one point deputized to (poorly) clear tables. We were brought to our table 25 minutes after our reservation time only to find giant stains on the table and floor, spilled drinks, broken glass, and a knife on the floor around our 'cleared' table. Despite our loudly and awkwardly addressing these things in a worried tone in the presence of the staff member who seated us -- and her clearly hearing our concerns -- we were completely ignored. At two separate points, I waited at the unmanned carving station for 5+ minutes just to receive a single, very modest slice of overcooked prime rib. Half-empty buffet throughout the evening such that it was impossible to enjoy every option promised on any given pass-through. Our dinner plates were hurriedly taken by our waitress who hustled us to move on to dessert despite our having only been seated for about thirty minutes and still being in the process of finishing our first servings; then, after reluctantly relinquishing our plates, we stood around at the table at the head of the buffet line waiting for clean dinner plates to be provided so we could, feeling rushed and already disappointed, quickly scarf down a second serving to get our money's worth on principle before leaving; after waiting for what felt like ten minutes, I politely asked the bartender nearest the table if new plates would be provided or if dinner was no longer being served, to which she replied enthusiastically that new plates would "be coming right out!". Unfortunately, the large plates were never replenished, forcing us to attempt to eat seconds off of dessert plates that were too small to accommodate a single serving of meat and gravy without it running over the sides and onto our hands. Dessert area was a disaster. Every dessert item was truly awful.

we went to Murphy's for the Thanksgiving brunch. The food was exceptional. The staff worked extremely hard clearly there was an overwhelming response to this thanksgiving buffet. The hours we were there were roughly from 3 PM to 4 PM. I believe it was the height of the traffic again, overall food spectacular ,staff worked extremely hard to make a special experience. We really enjoyed it and will likely be back next year.

We went for Thanksgiving buffet and it was amazing. The spread of food was awesome, they had a carving station for Turkey, Ham and Prime Rib, along with so many sides and desserts. The music was also great! Highly recommend.

Carol

Great buffet for Thanksgiving. Price was very good for options available. Would definitely return!
