The restaurant is part of the hotel (in front of the lobby). The focaccia bread, the burrata, the Caesar salad, mushroom pizza with pancetta, and semplice with rigatoni, white sauce, and chicken were all delicious.
Not so tasty were the espresso martini and warm apple crostata dessert (the crust was not well made).
I recommend this restaurant, we had a good meal and good service.

Over priced charcuterie board, is the cheese supposed to be gold? We both had pasta, mediocre at best. papparedella tasted like a fresh bowl of ragu. No spaghetti at a Italian restaurant is just plain unacceptable. In addition there was no lobster in a seemingly less than busy restaurant. Furthermore the table next to us was sat and told there was no more bread , what kind of twilight zone italian restaurant is this?
No junk fees at the BVI.
Beautiful and the food and staff were impressive. Thank you! ?

We love the bar at the Grand. We’ve eaten there a few times. The staff are wonderful and always accommodating. The food is ok just not exciting enough for us. I had the scampi pasta and my hubby had the meatball plus pasta. Like I said it’s ok but a little bland in taste. We’ll keep going as we enjoy the atmosphere. Please bring back the clam vongole ?

One of the best meals we have had, ever! Truly talented chefs in the kitchen. All of the dishes we ordered were incredible! We can’t wait to come back for more.

Great atmosphere, great staff just stay away from the short bartender guy with the blond streak in his hair. Something is not quite right with him!

Tried to go to this place and the lady asked “did you call in from Bedford?”. When we said no. She said “sorry we are full” like its a prerequisite to dine there. Didn’t offer a wait time or anything. Really weird way to get customers.

Everything was great. The only problem was, you need to be staying in the hotel if you want to make a reservation.

Great addition to Bedford and the BVI property. This spot is probably overlooked by most as it’s new and in the lobby of the hotel (not the inn) but what a great spot! My wife and I have been Hee several times since it opened and have enjoyed every experience whether it’s dinner, drinks or a combination of the two. Service and food are both on point, try it for yourself!

Always a great experience. Casual but cozy and decorated nicely. Service is good and friendly. Prices reasonable. We go early as there are no reservations. Food is very nice, portions right sized. Bar service is a little slow. But overall we really appreciate Fondi.

We decided to join some friends and meet at the Trattario Fondi on a recent Friday night. We had called and was informed that the do not accept reservation but if we arrived early there was a good chance of seating. We arrived at 4;30 and was told there was a wedding rehearsal party that would be celebrating until 6:00 or after. It would seem fair that if you are inquiring about a particular date to make reservations, then it would be nice to be informed. Example--the restaurant will not be open to the public until such and such a time as there is a event taking place. So, off to the tavern we go. We were seated in the back area which was fine and less noise. Our waitress was very pleasant but we were asked at least fine times if we were ready to order drinks or appetizers. After the fifth time asking we ordered drinks and chicken wings. My friend and I thought the same about the drink that the raspberry flavor was great but I think that the alcohol was totally missing. We received out chicken wings (super small and 5 of them so we all had one for some crazy price of $16.....We ordered the Tavern burger and I had only eaten a couple bites and requested to take the rest home ( the chicken wing had really filled me up-lol) and upon leaving there was no container.of my food. I know it's only a burger and fries but.... so certainly not the worse thing that could have happened but nonetheless next time ( not soon) I may just have a appetizer and drink before we go.
It was nice. We had a nice dinner, glad we tried it. It was all just fine. Nothing bad to say but the best things we had were our appetizers and the bread. The wine was nice too. But our main course, the steak and risotto, were bland. A bit disappointed since reviews raved about the food. Dessert was ok as well. Again nothing particularly negative to say, but I could not recommend this place for good Italian food sadly.

We have been going to the Bedford Village Inn for meals ever since it opened in the 1980’s and have had many elegant meals there. But pretension has overcome quality the last few times we have dined here. In our most recent experience we were seated at a table right at the door to the dining room. There were several vacant tables for two elsewhere in the room but when I inquired about switching, I was told they were “reserved”. They remained vacant the whole time we were there. Our server was supercilious and was so busy name dropping that he never placed the order for my husband’s salad and ordered a soufflé for me that I had inquired about but then stated I preferred to look at the complete dessert menu. The one bright spot of the evening was that the entrees were excellent. The desserts were mediocre.
