First: The chefs at the Pot Pie Bar do not put as much salt and spices (black pepper for one) into their pies as we US Americans have become accustomed to consuming. This is a good thing. For a chef to be able to prepare food experiences using less salt and still provide tasty selections requires mastery from true artists. I watch my sodium intake, and I was surprised about how little salt was in the following item being reviewed. If you like your food more salty/spicy, simply add it to your liking at the table. That is why we put salt and pepper on our tables at home... oh, and Tobasco sauce too in my home [smile].
We just had the Classic Chicken Pot Pie. Delicious! One pie provided 4 ample servings. The crust was tender with many flaky layers. The vegetables were cooked to perfection... the potatoes were firm but smoothed to mashed in your mouth with the slightest bite. The roux gravy was thick, lightly spiced, very flavorful and in perfect proportions to the chicken and vegetables - just the right amount of sweet butter, evident on the sides as the dish cooled. There were large morsels of chicken that looked more pulled than sliced or chunked... deluxe! A couple of pieces were a little tough on the ends, but the others were very tender and all were succulent.
We reheated from overnight refrigerator thawing in a 400F oven for 45 minutes (per the instructions - both verbal from the chef and on the package). We didn't finish the pie with the foil tent (not included) removed for the 5 additional minutes, but rather finished the crust under the broiler from the middle shelf for about 4 minutes - watching it carefully.
One would expect a noticeably salted pie, but no, just a hint in the crust, leaving the filling savory and satisfying.
My wife and I can't wait to have your Thanksgiving Pot Pie. We did steaks on the grill last year, but we think that your pie will be the premiere entree for our Thanksgiving dinner this year.
We are also looking forward to your Beef Stroganoff and the Seafood Newburg pot pies as well.
The price per serving is about $4.50 USD. That is very competitive compared to similar commercial items. And the quality to value is above par.

Dietary restrictions: Salt is 3rd from the end of ingredients (only in the crust) in the Classic Chicken Pot Pie. A good choice for those watching their sodium intake.

This was our first time and we picked up a large Short Rib Pie. The pie is a bit underseasoned, had a reasonable amount of meat and potatoes, but it was lacking carrots. Maybe start adding some celery, as well? Carrots and celery are cheap enough! I make all our own meals, so $23.95 for the short rib pie was a little on the high side for me to pay. Honestly, you can use Chuck Roast which is about 1/2 price of the short ribs and you can't tell the difference in the meat since you are cooking the meat until it falls apart. Call it a beef pot roast pie. This place is good for people who don't/can't/don't want to cook. Probably will not be back.

Bought our first at the Merry Holiday Festival, so glad Caroline was there we tried the Chicken Pot Pie for our first. Already planning our future picks to order in January. PuffPastry was flaky, chicken was good size pulled pieces and veggies were evenly distributed throughout. Bonus for us less than 10mins to the store for pick up.
We picked up the Short Bib Pot Pie at the Lull Farm, and it was delicious! I am so glad that I found you, I am excited to try a variety of your Pot Pies!
Flavorless, phylo crust ok. Cooking instructions unreliable. I had the chicken pot pie.

I recently purchased 2 pies and loved them both! They were set up at the Bedford Farmers Market. I had the classic chicken pot pie and the buffalo chicken pot pie. The pies were fresh and tasty with just the right amount of seasoning and were so easy to pop in the oven to bake. The crust was flaky and pillowy with a light crispiness on top that I love. I will be buying from them again for sure. Highly recommended for those busy nights when you want that homemade comfort food and don't have the time to make it yourself!

This small buisness is amazing staff is very hard working and friendly. The pies were unique and very flavourful perfect home cooked meal for any season. Definitely recommend the pulled pork pie! The toppers just add such a classic touch!! Check them out!!!!
We bought two pot pies and had the first one the other night. It was a beef stroganoff. These pot pies are so much better than the commercial ones in the supermarket. The filling was delicious and the crust was light and flaky. We can’t wait to try the other one.
