Food was excellent (maple salmon, terra major steak, and chicken carbonara). Pumpkin cake for dessert was excellent as well. Dining area was very cozy, with a separate very nice pub area. Will definitely be back.
We were staying at an AirBnB about 30 mins away. We had tried the other limited options in the area which were all okay but this was a true standout so I definitely felt compelled to write a review. We ordered the arancini for appetizers which were delicious. Trust me, we live in NYC and have had arancini from Little Italy and these were delish. As mains we ordered salmon which was perfectly cooked, Chile rellenos which was super tasty, and the shepherds pie which was delicious....
The rooms are comfortable, quiet, and well appointed. The inn is surrounded by beautiful grounds, including a pond. The buffet breakfast, which comes with the overnight fee, was fresh, delicious and ample. One could also order a very good omelet. The staff was very helpful. It is located in a lovely, peaceful New England town.
