This was an unexpected pleasure for lunch. It was a standout in the online listings, and it exceeded our expectations.They were not packed -- there are few tables and we easily found seating -- but they did a steady business of both eat-in and take-out.We will return the next time I go to Highland Hardwoods.Vegetarian options: My wife ate a vegetarian bowl with pickels, pickled onions, tomatoes, avocado, beans, a hardboiled egg, and corn, all on a bed of mixed greens. There was a great selection and the ability to substitute. Everything was put together to order, and the servers were helpful and flexible.

The best avocado toast I’ve ever had! We stumbled upon this place when looking for somewhere to get a last minute breakfast after a rushed morning … who knew it would become my latest obsession! I ordered the A.B.T. (Avocado bacon toast) and it was incredible. Piled high with fresh avocado mixed with bacon, perfect tomato slices and tangy pickled onions. The thick slice of toasted sourdough bread holds up well as the vehicle for this masterpiece. I can’t wait to go back! And the blueberry muffin was demolished by my toddler ✔️?

I went here with my kids today and not only was the food incredible, I had to go back for seconds because they wanted more. I will be back again to work my way through the menu but the bowl and avocado toast were amazing. My only complaint is I didn’t know this was here sooner!!!! You have to give it a try!Kid-friendliness: The food was so good they made me get seconds. That alone is worth 5 stars!!!

This place is legit. Great food, great drinks, great service! I had The Padden and the New England Hot Cocoa. The sandwich could easily feed two people. I had to eat it with a fork and knife too! I will come back for sure.
