“I found this place because I was searching for a chefs tasting table. They ended up being booked out for a year so I figured just regular reservations would suffice.I booked the bar and was so glad I did. We got there and there was an anniversary card hand-signed with little congratulatory messages from the entire staff. So sweet.We did a bunch of small plates. I don’t know if I remember everything but it was all fantastic. They also brought out other dishes compliments of the chef. The chef came out twice and just chatted with us. My husband asked him about sunchoke because he’d never heard of it, and he literally went back to the kitchen and came back to show us what it was. The sous chef came out too. The owner and the bartender tag-teamed serving us and everyone was just so friendly, informative, and just so pleasant to be around. Everything was plated like a work of art. We literally stared at each plate in awe because of how pretty it all looked. Every dish was fully explained when they presented it.We started with charcuterie and it was amazing. Three meats I haven’t had before, all house made. House made pickles, jam, and crackers. A mustard that was out of this world.For our small plates we had:- crispy octopus with a squid ink tuile and some sort of amazing potato fondue. It was the best octopus I’ve ever had. We ordered it twice.- steak tartare with quail egg and potato croquettes. So tender and such an amazing mix of flavors.- duck fat beignets. We got these twice. The first was a sugar coated beignet with Serrano (I believe) ham, goat cheese and a jam. The second was foie gras with goat cheese and grapes. The sweet and savory and salty all together was a complete shock to my system. I’d eat them daily if I could.- hay smoked carrots with cecina, black garlic and port poached pears. This was compliments of the chef and was just such an amazing surprise.- salmon crudo with grapefruit, bergamot and freshly grated horseradish. Such an interesting mix of flavors. The salmon was served raw so the grapefruit was a great tenderizer. It was so buttery and fresh.- fois gras served with sunchoke cake. Yes, cake. The cake was sweet and moist and felt dense but was really light. Absolutely amazing. I don’t know if that even makes sense but that’s how I can describe it. Best fois gras I’ve ever had.- ricotta tortellini- also compliments of the chef. The dough was so tender. The ricotta was so smooth and creamy. It was served with garlic scapes and almonds and mushrooms that were perfectly cooked.- we ended up getting a cheese plate at the end as well. All three cheeses were so different and perfect. Also served with the crackers, jam, and a different mustard.For dessert we ordered a layered chocolate stout cake with a black sesame tahini ice cream. It reminded me of the most elevated chocolate peanut butter dessert you can imagine. They also sent us three other ice creams: roasted almond, fois gras, and mushroom. Everything was so creamy, perfectly sweet, and flavorful. Just absolutely stunning.I’m drooling just reliving it in my mind. I cannot wait to go back.The owner informed us about the outdoor seating along the river during the summer and how on Wednesdays (I think) they do fresh oysters that are caught that morning and the person who catches them delivers and shucks them as ordered.This was the most wonderful anniversary dinner and truly one of the top 5 dining experiences I’ve ever had, no questions asked. Such a wonderfully unexpected food gem in Exeter! Our sincerest thanks to every single staff member that made our night something we will talk about for a very long time.”

“Zorvino was hands down the most beautiful place to have a wedding. From the beautiful scenery, to the food and hospitality to everything in between. Not only did my husband and I find this place absolutely stunning, but our guests did as well! Everyone was in mesmerized by the beauty. Alice, one of the coordinators, was the icing on the cake. The menu changes daily, and every dish served is delicious and prepared excellently.Make a reservation weeks in advance; it's a small restaurant with tables for 2 and 4.But it's definitely a top place to dine in Exeter and the seacoast area.”

I have to fess up, i ate that entire box in a day and went back the next day for more. “We've been here a half dozen times and every time is great. My favorite is the crispy duck (amazing) and family loves the oba ramen and Thai soup. The menu is clearly marked for allergies, the staff is super helpful (and so sweet!) and the online ordering is customizable so I feel safe eating with my gluten and dairy sensitivity. The portions are nice, perfect for a yummy dinner or two lunches. Eating in is cozy, its a cute little spot with a few tables and bar. The teas are delicious too, and presented beautifully.Dietary restrictions: Menu is clearly marked and staff is knowledgeable and really helpfulParking: There's parking right in front, its limited and a little tricky to get in and out but plenty of parking all over downtown and the short walk is lit and safe”

“Five stars. I really enjoyed this place. First of all clean. I like the local pictures. The halloween decorations nicely done.I ordered French toast stuffed with raspberry jam and cream cheese. It's four slices. With butter, powder sugar, and cinnamon. Had to have it with New Hampshire syrup and oj. You'll hope it tastes as good as it sounds well it does. Also had blueberry muffin. It is moist fresh and flavorful. It has blueberrys threw out not just in cap. She ask if I wanted it warmed up with butter. After the French toast I decided to take it to go. They gave me butter and silverware with it. Couldn't ask for better service. I recommendation this place hole heartedly. You will enjoy you meal.”

“As a Christmas treat, decided to splurge, and go out for a cup of hot chocolate.I admit my expectations were low as I have never been really impressed by the standard taste.When my order arrived, at first sight, I knew this was going to be a unique experience. The whipped cream was ‘ real ‘ , delicious and piled high. With my first sip I realized I have never had a cup of actual hot chocolate before this moment ! It was creamy, thick, hot, and without a doubt, the most intense explosion of devine chocolate it has ever been my pleasure to enjoy!It did take a little preparation time, but the whole experience is one not to be rushed.Hesitant to mention that it is a bit on the pricey side, but it was worth every penny, just to know that the finest cup of quality hot chocolate does exsist !”

Sizeable portions.And very reasonable prices- eggs, bacon, sausage, 1 side, and 2 French toast (or pancakes), + coffee - less than $20 (before tip).Also super easy to get to with tons of parking right across the street.”

But if you like a coffee shop with character, a little bit of sass, and great coffee, I highly recommend Wise House. “I ordered takeout drunken noodles and at a spice level of 2 (out of 4) and it was still very spicy! The veggies were nice and crisp and everything was seasoned well. I also ordered veggie spring rolls - the only thing I didn't like was the sauce that came with spring rolls because it was very watery And the spring rolls were just Ok. But my food was ready in 10 min and was piping hot :)”

“We had a fantastic dinner. An extra bonus was watching the chefs cook, they were like an orchestra so coordinated. The sitting had 26 diners. The menu changes every week. We had bean soup, a choice of smoked salmon salad w potato or polenta with pork ragu, chicken with spinach or cod with carrots, beef with potato and red cabbage or pork and lentils, toffee pudding or funnel cake ( fried dough). Everything was delicious, there was not a single dish that we did not love. Service was attentive and friendly. We will be back!”

“Sawbelly burger, get it!! It's as good as any burger at Tuckaway. In fact it is a Tuckaway burger! Great brewery with delicious food. Not all beers are great but you can sample them and find something suitable. Beer flights are $13 and the pours are generous.I love the ambiance and the coziness of the booths against the wall.They often have live music which, most recently, was quite awful. Fortunately, the volume was low enough on the restaurant side to make it bearable.I love the service and, in summer, they have a huge outdoor seating area that is dog friendly.”
