Let me say FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE, yes, this is delicious. The price, quality and portions are very good. The BBQ sauce was ok, we sampled them all and the best was Sweet Baby Ray's... but again - N.H. dont expect hot to be spicy. We tried the ribs, which are flavored well - not fall off the bone meat. We had the brisket, good flavor, not much juiciness. For sides I tried ranch beans, not what I was expecting but this is N.H - nothing to write home about on the mac & cheese either. Nice portion of corn bread, done alright as well! I say it again for New Hampshire, yes, this place is delicious. The staff is great, quick service, and the dining area is clean.
I highly recommend the 3 meats platter. Any choice you make will not disappoint! And their Jambalaya is to die for! Their coleslaw is really good....had me thinking I should've bought a medium bucket of it! I'll definitely be returning here on my trips around the area!
If yall think this good bbq, you haven't had good bbq. I got a pound of brisket and a pound of pork, there was at least a pound of fat between the 2, brisket fat wasn't rendered down like it should've been. I love the atmosphere and service, food not so much
Some of the best BBQ around.
I’m going to assume they had a bad day…
For years this was our go-to BBQ spot. We drove from an hour away, just to eat here. We told everyone about Goody Coles. Heck, we started going when they were in downtown Exeter.
Just this past Saturday, we made a stop for a rack of ribs and sides. The ribs were wet, fatty and bland.
I’m not sure what changed or if this was just a bad batch. I’m going to try another time, midweek, and will post the results.
Went to try after hearing alot about this place. BBQ was ok, not the best in NH by far. We had a 3 meat plate and shared it, brisket, ribs and smoke turkey. Brisket was so dry, rib had great seasoning just hardly any meat to it , by far the turkey was the best meat pick in our plate. Wasn't terrible by any means just not special like expected. The potato salad and beans were delicious!
Swung by for lunch and grabbed the 3-meat combo with jambalaya and cucumber salad (because balance, right?). All the meats had that nice smoky vibe going on, but I was hoping for a bit more kick in the seasoning department. Not sure if they used a rub—I couldn’t really taste one. Portion size? Generous. Definitely enough to share (or not, no judgment). Solid BBQ overall—not my top pick, but tasty enough that I’d come back for round two.
This places food was amazing some of the best BBQ I've had

Good, maybe a little overhyped. Brisket had potential but mine was very dry. Skip the corn. Nothing really blew my mind just solid BBQ for NH standards.
Update: they now have Frito Brisket Chili pie. Brought home a container of just the chili (I'll make my own frito pie ?.
Love the kilbasa and pulled pork. Good portions and great selection of sauces.

Cornbread was excellent. Pulled pork was good. Baked beans were really good. Mac and cheese was fine. It's a dry Mac and cheese not gooey. Brisket was chopped not sliced so kind of disappointing. It seemed like it would be good but you lose the bite when it's chopped. Plenty of sauce choices and a real ENC sauce. It's quick service like a real BBQ place. So far it's the best BBQ I've had in NH though that isn't really saying much. It's close to $30 for the two meat platter with a bottle of juice. It would be nice to have fountain sodas and a big pitcher of tea instead of bottles.

Great place. They catered our wedding back in 2007. They are still as satisfying as I have always remembered. I recommend it. 4 in atmosphere because Rt 125 is loud.

Goody's is the real deal.
Ok so just moved to NH from Texas last November and this has been the only “authentic “ place I saw on google…. Well after almost a year I finally gave this place a shot. Coming from a true bbq postmaster family…… this place is on point!
