Dined at The Big Catch last night for dinner. The location is very nice with a beautiful lake front view. Unfortunately the food isn’t near as appealing as the view. The calamari was incredibly bland and disappointing. The blackened shrimp was good, however the potato salad and corn that came with it left much to be desired. The salad was simply some basic iceberg lettuce and assorted cut vegetables and looked about as sad as it tasted. I’m afraid I would not return to eat here again.

Food had no flavor. Four of us and three of us felt the same. The fourth had a salad, guess they can’t ruin lettuce, yet.

Lots of seating options with a view of the lake. The fish of the day is cooked how you like it but the menu seafood is "only fried". Great bread choices for sandwiches.

The lake is beautiful as always and the service was good, but the food was very, very bland. All four dishes that our table got (haddock sandwich with clam chowder, scallops, calamari, chicken caesar salad), especially the seafood, was flavorless and unenjoyable, with the exception of the clam chowder. One expects to pay more for seafood but with that comes the expectation that it will be worth it in terms of flavor! The Catch has one of the best locations on the lake so I hope they will step their food up to that level.

Waitress was great, didn't get her name. Clam roll was delicious.... generous amount of clams and fries. Reuban was just okay, plenty of meat but lacking in cheese and flavor. But, would definitely go back!

A real gem on Newfound Lake with excellent food, wonderful views and a ready to help staff. Their fried clams are the best in the lakes region of New Hampshire. Have to get their early as the place fills up fast and they don’t take reservations.

Great spot that continues to surprise. Fried clams and the shrimp were tasty. It's a little rough around the edges and I wish there was some more non fried options. This is essentially the only restaurant on the lake so they don't need to do anything to succeed but I wish they stepped it up.

This restaurant is great because of the view of the lake and the breeze food service is extremely slow which they stayed on their menu, but it really doesn't need to be that slow. Waiting 40 minutes for fried food. Seems like the kitchen is disorganized. They could work out a better system. The fried food is just that lightly battered inside not really seasoned. If you want seasons you should get things that are broiled or blackened. My favorite thing here is the onion rings /strings. Staff is attentive

My family has been going to the big catch for almost twenty years. The food is excellent. The fish is quality and fresh and the wait staff makes you feel right at home. The meals are affordable and were lucky as locals to have it. We like to eat on the deck.

I can't say enough for this place. ever since then I've wanted to to try this place for quite some time. Today I got the Tuna sandwich and it was amazing. Prices are great, atmosphere is good too and Paul the owner is a really nice guy. My waitress was very attentive and made sure I was happy. I will be eating here much there often when travelling to Bristol.

We have been there twice so far. Yesterday we had Brittany for a server. She was excellent. The food was awesome. Everyone is friendly and very efficient. There was an error on our receipt which we didn't notice. The manager reached out to us and had already corrected it. But wanted us to know it was taken care of. That is excellent customer service. We will definitely be back. Maureen & David

Because we all loved this place so much, ill start with the cons. The only con is that it can be loud inside. That, plus, wait times can get a bit lengthy since it's such a popular spot! Now onto the pros! The service was lovely. Staff was friendly, upbeat, and very kind. They went above and beyond! The food was delicious! And compared to other places, price wise, we were surprised at how affordable it was! Husband got a clam chowder soup and fried shrimp plate. I've never tried a clam chowder soup that was better than my own until I tried it there. I make a really good clam chowder soup and the soup at The Big Catch definitely compared well to mine! I didn't try his fried shrimp but he said he was happy with them. Mind you, my husband is very hard to please food-wise!Our kids got a chicken tender plate. The fries were your basic fries. The chicken tenders were wonderful! They were juicy and tasted good. Not every place makes them well, but this restaurant did an awesome job! Coleslaw was decent as well. And finally, I got a Caesar salad and a double pattie burger. The salad was really good. The dressing was delicious! The burger was AMAZING. It was juicy and it was not small. I was worried about it being underwhelming but had a wonderful surprise! It was juicy and in general, a well made burger. My burger came with fries, which I mentioned previously. We will definitely be coming back here whenever we visit newfound lake!!!(I did want to also mention that we did see a dog on the outside patio and the dog did have a water bowl! I'm assuming the restaurant provides water for dogs. I know this may be important for dog owners to know!)

First they got my order wrong. I ordered fish, they brought me chicken tenders. Onion rings were hard and cool with no dipping sauce. Cole slaw was warm. Kinda pricey compared to other places aroundParking: We are handicapped and only one spot. For those wheelchair bound difficult to get around. With parking being hard to find, for those with respiratory issues or walking problem parking makes getting in a problem. Hence the reason we got our order to go. Glad I checked the order before we left. I sure would have been upset getting home and finding chicken and not fishWheelchair accessibility: Difficult to say the least. Have to park too far away for those in wheelchairs, respiratory issues or ambulation issues
