I’m giving this place 5 stars because it was definitely a perfect burger! I ate half and ate the rest 2 hours later…cold and it was still delicious. I love hand cut fries, but I would have liked them a little crispier and more of them. My husband was being a little crotchety bc he was tired, but the waiter was very thoughtful and courteous. I will be dreaming about that burger for a long time.

We were in Waterville Valley for a hockey tournament and made reservations for a team dinner a month in advance. When we arrived for our reservation, they intended to have the children in one room and adults in another. While they had enough chairs, they did not have enough seating for their intended schematic, leading them to need to bring in another table. My family and another mom were at a table in the corner of the kids' room, which was fine, but left us forgotten about when drink orders were taken and needed to chase the waitress down for our food order. Knowing there was going to be a large party, as i mentioned a MONTH in advance, they only had one waitress on to serve it, and I am unsure if how many cooks. While the reservation was for 6pm, members of my family did not have meals placed in front of them until 7:42. The food was average american fare food, nothing special- my friend ordered medium steak on her salad and received medium rare to to rare. The food for the rest of us was pretty standard. On the plus side, they did separate the bills by jersey number so each family could pay separately. Since it was a large party as a whole however, gratuity was included on the check and it was 20%, not even the usual 18, which is what is generally used for large parties, which we still didn't even feel the service was worth. The fact the restaurant was pretty empty otherwise on a Saturday night should have been an indicator for us when we walked in to begin with. I cannot speak for the rest of the team, but my family will not be rushing to make a return.

Awful experience. We were in town for a hockey tournament and booked a month in advance and confirmed a week prior. There were about 30-40 parents and kids in total which was the number we gave them. They shoved us and another friend in a corner like a woman in an 80s movie. They had 1 server for all of us, and our waitress forgot about us because of said corner and it took over an hour and a half to get our food. Once served it was poor to mediocre at best and I'm fairly certain I heard the waitress yell at a few of the kids and they were no more rambunctious than standard 14yr olds when they get together. I'd rather eat fish right from the actual mad river before I go to this restaurant again.

Friendly welcoming staff, and the food and beer was great.
From the UK. Have eaten at several diners/restaurants so far, and this is my favourite for hospitality, and food.
Burgers great, wings great!
If you are local to this tavern, it's well worth a visit.

There's a lot of camping in the area and places like this kind of rely on that. First off all the service was great. The one guy that was working was very helpful and professional. The atmosphere is pretty rustic, cabin/lodge like, nothing to complain about. The wings are actually pretty good. The reviews from my group are middling and my burger was straight up gross, which is weird because there's a whole section of their limited menu dedicated to burgers. If you're just going for drinks and snacks I'm sure it's great but otherwise I'd find somewhere else.

went in for dinner after seeing there special was prime rib. we were asked for our orders and we ordered, we were asked how we wanted it cooked. i answered medium rare and my boyfriend answered medium. we also got mozzarella sticks which came out after 5 minutes, a bit cold but not horrible. after like 20 minutes our entries came out. the meat looked overcooked and a bit green on the edges. Overall, it was freezer burnt and chewy. unfortunately we both ate most of it so we did not have much to show. i decided i was disappointed and when our server came over with the bill, i let her know and said i did not expect anything to be comped. i informed her that the meat was overcooked and obviously freezer burnt and that we ordered medium and medium rare. she then proceeded to tell us that “when we order prime rib they have to cook the meat to the same temperature due to how they store it,” WHICH WOULDVE BEEN REASONABLE, if she had not already asked us how we wanted it cooked. she proceeded to not comp any of it, and made us feel as though we were dumb.

I loved the employees—they were so sweet with my dog. My golden was spoiled with ice water and bacon treats.
Food was awful. We got the special and it was not fresh food. Frozen rubber seafood and frozen vegetables from a bag. Drinks were good
Good food and service!
