“This was my best meal to date in our whirlwind skiing trip in New Hampshire. Had the most amazing burger, aptly named the Tommy Burger, and cheeky red onion rings, ordered fries as well but couldn't eat them. In fact, I couldn't even sample the world-renowned key line pie as I was too full. The staff were amazing, so friendly and accommodating.and the place just oozed character. And to top it all off, all for under $20. Happy days.”
“Stopped by with the family after a day of skiing. Mostly a takeout spot, but they have a few tables for dining in. We had garlic knots, salad, a cheese pizza, Margherita pizza, and brownies. All were really good, service was friendly and quick. Pizzas are made right in front of you in a stone fire oven. We'll be back!”
“We will definitely be back and we will always remember this place as our 7 month old puppy’s first brewery visit! Very cozy and welcoming spot. Everyone was friendly and the beer was excellent!”
“All of the staff, especially the hostesses and Roberta were fantastic and very accommodating. As always, the food was delicious and atmosphere very cozy. We love Sunset Grill!”
“Interesting gas station with a pizza place and sandwich shop inside. Food looked good. Staff was friendly. Restrooms are basic but clean. Overall good place to visit.”
“Staying at Loon during school vacation week means huge wait times for super busy restaurants. We decided we should take a 25 min drive and avoid the mess in Lincoln/ woodstock area. Boy were we glad we did. We got right in a 6:30 for dinner. Food was fantastic. And service was top notch. Well worth the short drive even if the restaurants in Lincoln were not busy. I would come back here again in a heartbeat.”
“Ordered a cheese pizza and salad for takeout. It was a good value, and fast. Exactly what you'd expect. The pizza was on the greasy side, but a lot of people like it that way. I was surprised to see all the low reviews, but I haven't tried most of the menu.”
“We stopped for gas and decided to get a breakfast turkey sausage and cheese with everything bagel sandwiches. The breakfast sandwich’s were fresh tasting and reasonably priced. We even got a doughnut which was fresh tasting as well. Great stop for a quick on the go breakfast. I will choose Dunkin Doughnuts again when I am in a hurry for a quick breakfast.”
“Local tavern a short drive from Waterville ski area. Menu had tavern/pub staples and good menu of drinks from the bar. Clam chowder was a little better than expected and a burger was very welcome after a day on the mountain. They did have a kids menu if that is something you need to consider.”
“Peek-A-Bowl is an eclectic mix of various Eastern Asian cuisine, most notably japanese and sushi-inspired dishes with some Thai and Vietnamese surprises tossed in their menu. I love me some sushi, and I love me some good sushi bowls. A large variety of combinations can be made, but to a newcomer, it can be a little overwhelming. Luckily, their specials are a great guiding point to your sushi-bowl adventure. Boba drinks are freshly prepared, and service is quick. With it being in downtown Plymouth, you can expect a lack of accessible parking. Otherwise, Peek-A-Bowl is a Plymouth staple and I've walked away from there feeling satisfied everytime.”
“What a pleasant surprise after a long day hiking. The food, service and atmosphere were just perfect. We will add this to our regular spots when visiting the Whites - you should too!”
“A very cool casual atmosphere as most have. This one is a bit more rustic. It was not very busy when we went but it was snowing. The food was good. I enjoyed it. Some of my party thought it was just okay. The only problem I had is we had to wait a long time for everything even though the place was not busy. Otherwise, it's always a good experience at the common man. At this particular place I found a lot of interesting sounding dishes on the menu. I would go back to try some.Kid-friendliness: Place maps with jokes crayons etc. Kids menu.free Cheese and crackers if they are hungry...food can take a while.”
“Pleasant, inviting friendly staff. Service was prompt. Food was above my expectations. Prices were extremely fair and the portions were bigger than I anticipated. Highly recommend giving this a shot. Looking forward to my next visit.”
“After driving by Walter's Basin so many times, I finally stopped in for a meal today. I did not realize how large the inside of this restaurant was! The waitress suggested the Watermelon Margarita and that was super tasty! The menu had a wide variety of options. I really enjoyed the Rainbow Trout dish. Great view overlooking Little Squam!”
“I loved this place! My husband and I came in, sat down at the counter, and enjoyed our delicious ice cream! He got a banana split sundae while I got a one-scooper of cookie dough. The ice cream was rich and creamy, and the portion sizes were incredibly generous. The service was excellent, and it was the perfect place to slow down for a bit and enjoy some ice cream. The only thing that could've made it cooler, was if they served old fashioned sodas. It was the perfect retro feel inside and the sodas would've elevated it to something untouchable!! It's also connected to a used bookstore, which is pretty much a dream spot for me. If we are ever in the area again, this will be a high priority on our list!”
“Great breakfast diner. Not a benedict person but they had whole section for Benedicts. Tried one. Was delicious. Good service.30 minute Wait to get in on a sunday but was 6 of us.”
“Had both the best dinner and airbnb experience at JL Sullivan’s Irish pub. Enjoyed the beef stew special and the Guinness buffalo wings. Would highly recommend, and will return to stay and eat here again!”
“Attended a birthday party and the room was beautiful, the food was great and the staff was outstanding. We'll be back.Vegetarian options: Salad, beans and carrots,Dietary restrictions: Dairy, gluten”
“This is a little slice of heaven. A beautiful setting with fresh, healthy, delicious food cooked with much love. So family friendly, and so flavorful. It is honestly one of my favorite meals in favorite settings.”
“Excellent place to go and grab a bite. You will not be disappointed. The food is excellent the service can be a little "Mr deeds" but you're going to have a good time.”
“This was the perfect small town place! We stumbled upon it after spending the weekend in Ashland visiting the ice castles and snowmobiling. We got to meet the owners, who were the sweetest people! Highly recommend, make sure you see Jules!”
“Just like the name, you are treated like family! The wait staff is friendly, attentive and fantastic! The owners are amazing and enjoy meeting you! Food and drinks are excellent!”
“This place is great! I moved up here from NY about 8 years ago and finally found a pizzeria that I like. All the food is excellent. Pizza is always cooked to perfection, sandwiches are outstanding and prices are even better. But you can't top the service, they are some of the nicest people around. Just had a calzone from there tonight, and it was incredible! They've been my go-to for a year now, and will be for a long time!”
“Best pizza we've had in a long time. We aren't from around here and just didn't want to cook so we decided to cheat and order pizza. So glad we did. They were so nice and the pizza was amazing! If ever in the area again, we'll def be back for more!”
“Always a great sandwich !Soups and chili also.Boarshead cold cuts, hot meatball sub is great, all with choice of breads.Atmosphere is cool, in the basement of a very old building!”
“Went for dinner here on a Saturday night at 6pm, we called ahead as we had a group of 8 adults. We arrived and were seated right away, the entrance was cozy. The restaurant was decorated with winter wreaths and red ribbon making us feel right at home. We order mixed drinks, wine, soft drinks and water. We ordered appetizers of Gyoza (6 in an order) and scalloped wrapped bacon (5 in an order), after 20 mins they arrived hot at the table!! We placed our order for our main entrees and they arrived about 40 mins later, all but one order was correct. The kitchen only mixed up the side order which was corrected immediately by our waiter. Our waiter was fun, made recommendations, answered our questions and was knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered desserts to go, the gluten free cake was delicious!! If you're in town there's plenty to choose from here!!”
“Very friendly place. Scott Peterson was incredibly helpful. He has this genuine, down-to-earth quality. Connected me to Firestone Walker 2015 Stickee Monkee which wasn't even on display on the shelf and I had been looking for years. I can't wait to drink it! Thanks.”
“We have ordered from Wicked Good for many years. If you're a chocolate fan, order the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, it doesn't get any better”
“The Panther Burger, best burger I've eaten anywhere at any price, though the Jalama Burger in CA is a very close second. The Panther Burger is deliciously chard and stacked with all sorts of delicious sauces and extras. The only thing I eat at Panther Pub, a treat every time!”
“Mad River Coffee is always a good stop when you're in the area. We stopped on Tuesday and wasn't disappointed. I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich special. OMG so good! I took a pic of the specials board so I could attempt to make it at home. We'll see how successful I am. Coffee and service gets an "A" as well. Make sure to visit.”
