“A very cool casual atmosphere as most have. This one is a bit more rustic. It was not very busy when we went but it was snowing. The food was good. I enjoyed it. Some of my party thought it was just okay. The only problem I had is we had to wait a long time for everything even though the place was not busy. Otherwise, it's always a good experience at the common man. At this particular place I found a lot of interesting sounding dishes on the menu. “This was the perfect small town place! We stumbled upon it after spending the weekend in Ashland visiting the ice castles and snowmobiling. We got to meet the owners, who were the sweetest people! Highly recommend, make sure you see Jules!”

“Wow! Super good. The pork fried rice is the best I’ve had in a long time. My husband loved the sesame chicken it was delicious. My husband was shocked by how reasonable the prices were too. “We love Peek-a-Bowl and eat here all the time. It's a Gem in downtown Plymouth. I've tried almost everything on the menu and have yet to dislike one dish. Absolutely every choice is amazing. The family that owns the place is great, so attentive and their care for their customers really shows. They go above and beyond to deliver a great meal and a great experience. “This was my best meal to date in our whirlwind skiing trip in New Hampshire. Had the most amazing burger, aptly named the Tommy Burger, and cheeky red onion rings, ordered fries as well but couldn't eat them. In fact, I couldn't even sample the world-renowned key line pie as I was too full.The staff were amazing, so friendly and accommodating.and the place just oozed character. “Walking into this cozy family run establishment I was greeted warmly by a young man, and after browsing some menu options I ordered the breakfast burrito substituting the protein for their steak option. While waiting for my food I learned that the owners son was the one taking my order and preparing my meal. I enjoyed the light banter and friendly conversation with both owners, husband and wife, who spoke with pride as their son was excited to prepare something that would, "Blow my socks off!" I felt that the atmosphere was honest and wholesome, certainly a delight to sit and enjoy a fine respite from the cold. The meal came and as you can see from my picture attached, it was Huge! I enjoyed the meal very much packing up half of it togo, and for 16 dollars for such a healthy portion and a drink I felt as though the price was honest and fair. I left a small tip at the counter jar and left with a full belly and I am looking forward to exploring the more dessert-like options that they have available. If you are looking for something with a fair and honest price and friendly atmosphere you can count on 48 Main to provide that health conscious options with the tease of cheat day at your discretion. A great find for breakfast or lunch in the heart of downtown Merideth.”

“Just a classic local diner with delicious food! We stopped in for breakfast and just loved the entire feel of the place. Our server was very welcoming and helpful with recommendations. The portions were very large and we left full. I think one of our favorite little things around it was the slight slant of the building that just gave it this "eclectic" vibe. “After driving by Walter's Basin so many times, I finally stopped in for a meal today. I did not realize how large the inside of this restaurant was! The waitress suggested the Watermelon Margarita and that was super tasty! The menu had a wide variety of options. I really enjoyed the Rainbow Trout dish. Great view overlooking Little Squam!”

“Went for dinner here on a Saturday night at 6pm, we called ahead as we had a group of 8 adults. We arrived and were seated right away, the entrance was cozy. The restaurant was decorated with winter wreaths and red ribbon making us feel right at home. We order mixed drinks, wine, soft drinks and water. We ordered appetizers of Gyoza (6 in an order) and scalloped wrapped bacon (5 in an order), after 20 mins they arrived hot at the table!! We placed our order for our main entrees and they arrived about 40 mins later, all but one order was correct. The kitchen only mixed up the side order which was corrected immediately by our waiter. Our waiter was fun, made recommendations, answered our questions and was knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered desserts to go, the gluten free cake was delicious!! If you're in town there's plenty to choose from here!!”

“If Hart's is not your thing when visiting Meredith, try this fantastic alternative. Surfside is a great low key spot for burgers, seafood, tacos and a wide menu that doesn't suffer from the variety. The service on the outdoor patio is a great outdoor location for a nice day and staff is always friendly. Portion and price friendly with a good amount of quality food, you'd do yourself a favor trying this place out.”
