“My Wife and I had a fantastic stay at The Manor. We stayed in the Oxford room and it was beautifully appointed... Set up perfectly for a nice romantic getaway for our anniversary... Brian, one of the owners, wanted to inform us about certain things happening to schedule our dinner for maximum service. (Another wedding party was there.) We Had Dinner on Saturday and it was Appointed with a great Steak Tart-Tar (Something I have never had before,) Salads and a beautifully presented Main Course... Breakfast was included in the mornings... The Pub was a nice little quiet place to have a quick drink before dinner... I should have taken more advantage of Brian's Concierge Sevice as I spoke to another couple who did and he was able to get them a boat rental and recommended many other great things to them so take advantage of Brian's Knowledge of the area and people he knows... I know I will when we come back... The Views are spectacular from the upper rooms. While ours did not have that great a view, we were there to really enjoy each other for our anniversary and relax with no kids... And It was wonderful... I highly recommend this wonderful hidden gem...”

“My husband and I went to Gusto for the first time last night. It was wonderful. It's authentic Italian cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. Which is exactly what we were looking for. The owners are great and really take pride in their food. If you are going for dinner it's easy to make a reservation online; which I recommend because they do fill up fast. 😊”

“Super cute & cozy environment! Iced dirty pumpkin chais with cold foam, absolutely fantastic!! I’m caffeine sensitive & they were so so helpful & their breakfast sandwiches are out of this world! Best we’ve ever had, we’ll definitely be back. I also have a sensitive stomach and nothing hurt my stomach and that says something. Croissant was so flaky, soft and buttery, bacon was perfectly cooked, same with the egg & well seasoned. Jalapeño cheddar bagel was great too, sausage was thin and crispy too-just how we like it. Chocolate chip muffin was also soft, flavorful and chips were melty. Highly recommend!!!”

“The bartender Lily is always great she's very personable and friendly and always remembers our drink order. I tried the wagyu meatloaf last night with macaroni and cheese and spinach and it was honestly the best meal I have had in a long time. I also like the little added touches like packing up leftovers for the customer, which most places don't do any longer. My husband and I always look forward to our nights out at the Canoe!”

“I'm an organiser for an outdoors group that recently made Dam Brewhouse a part of a local gathering we had in nearby Rumney. I spoke with the owners about a month before our group was due in to see about reserving some space for us to come and have a great night out. Sarah and John really went out of their way to make a great experience for our group. They have an excellent outdoor seating area they reserved for us, which was the perfect vibe for our group! We were able to submit drink orders in advance, which meant everyone was served within a few minutes of our arrival. Dam Brewhouse does not serve food, but they also arranged for a food truck to be on hand, where we were also able to submit orders in advance, and again, our large group was completely served shortly after initial drinks were delivered. We had a handful of vegetarians, vegans, and gluten free individuals, and everyone got what they needed.

As I told the owners before we left, this portion of our weekend outing COULD NOT have gone better! Thank you SO MUCH for such a great evening! We'd give you 6 stars if we could, I'm not even exaggerating!”
