Cute local place, a bit pricey for sides but the sandwiches are made with fresh ingredients. Lots of historical wall fair

Decent good. Very family oriented and laid back environment. Open everyday for breakfast which is something the town of Canaan. Needed desperately

I went in earlier this week and had the open faced turkey special and it was perfect. Open faced turkey is my favorite, and I am often disappointed at other places, but not at Chappy's! The atmosphere is so friendly and comfortable, too.

Hands down, the best Steak & Cheese and the best grilled cheese and ham I've had in my long memory. And, amazingly, it doesn't smell like grease and fried foods inside! You think that's a low bar? Maybe, but it makes a huge difference to me. The decor is lovely - down to earth, interesting, artistic but not artsy-crafty, unpretentious. And of course the staff are lovely! My only regret is that we didn't try it sooner. Well have to make up for that with frequent trips from now on!Wheelchair accessibility: The parking lot is a bit rough so they've made spots right near the door! Good ramp in and the inside is open, included and easy to navigate.

Been here several times and not sure why I keep coming back, food is just ok for the price (my mom always asks for her potatoes to be crispy and they clearly are microwaved/squishy.) What the real bummer here is, is the service. We came on a busy Sunday morning and sat for 15 minutes and no one acknowledged us, we only got service after going up to the counter, which we were rudely told "ya someone will be over." Treated rudely for the rest of our meal until she brought over the bill to try to make up for the rest of the service and get a tip? Unfortunately this is the only breakfast in town but will be driving to Leb next time, just not worth it.

Go here for great quality down home style food and excellent service. I have never once had ANYTHING here that wasn't absolutely delicious!!! Sue, Mary, and Josie will make you feel welcome and the food will have you coming back again and again.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid-friendly things for them to eat. My 2 young boys never have trouble getting something delicious to eat.Wheelchair accessibility: 1 small step at side door near the parking lot, same at the front on the street entrance, but step is even smaller here, I would recommend this entrance for any mobility device.Dietary restrictions: You may be a little limited with gluten-free options, but I have Celiac's and I more than make due frequently. :-)
