We discovered this restaurant a little over a month ago and have been three times already! We always get the one meat entree. The BBQ is delicious, of course, but the sides are also very good. The cornbread is my favorite, but I’ve also enjoyed the coleslaw, apple baked beans, and creamed corn. Friendly service and great atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area!
Went into Poor House BBQ for an afternoon lunch. Place was a little sparse and the atmosphere felt more bar and grill than BBQ. Waiter was nice and took our orders promptly. Food was ok. Bathrooms were pretty clean.
First visit, and despite the sudden Saturday crush the team was friendly, and hustling to take care of everyone. Food was a cut above what you would expect from a random local BBQ joint. Unique offerings were solid choices. Delightful experience, will visit again.
