It's the only hospital around hoping it's 5 stars
I cannot say enough about the incredible oncology team at Valley Regional Hospital. Dr. Sullivan and his team are truly exceptional. Leslie, Kristen 1 and Kristen 2, and Melissa at the front desk. From the very beginning of my journey, they have gone above and beyond, providing not just outstanding medical care but also unwavering kindness, compassion, and support. Every time I go in for a follow-up, it feels like visiting my second family. They take the time to listen, to reassure, and to make sure every patient feels cared for on both a medical and personal level. Their dedication is unmatched, and I am beyond grateful for each and every one of them. If you or a loved one ever need oncology care, know that you will be in the best hands possible with this team.
Very top notch!
Had shoulder surgery there 3 years ago they botched it up horribly. Can hardly use my hand. I wouldn't recommend this hospital to my worst enemy. Had therapy there they wrapped my arm so tight it cut off circulation
Sick goat? Head to VRH. Hurt or sick human? Go literally anywhere else. VRH is a horrible facility. Granted, a few really kind individuals work here who take their job seriously but the hospital over all is a joke.
Wonderful kind compassionate nurses. Worst doctor I’ve ever had at an ER. Refused to provide any meaningful help or information. I wish I could tell you his name so you could immediately refuse treatment and ask for another doctor.
It is very unfortunate that a bad experience at their urgent care has left me questioning the integrity of the hospital. They didn't take any responsibility for the mistakes they made. If they can't own smaller mistakes how will they handle larger mistakes? After looking at some of the other reviews I am really glad I decided to go to an ER up north instead of Valley Regional after the urgent care experience. It is too bad because there are some great departments there (physical therapy, mammography, and the lab).
I’ve been sick for a very long time and have been misdiagnosed, put on ppi meds going on 4 or 5 yrs maybe more. I’ve had to find my results on my portal and totally not really understanding what I’m looking at, try to call my pcp doctor or the doctor or nurse at general surgery to find out what I’m actually looking at and what my actual diagnoses is and what it means and what the next steps are.
I mean I feel gaslighted and neglected and misinformed and looked over because I have mental health issues that are only getting worse because of my health issues, not the other way around. This is stressful to be treated as if your symptoms are in your head and are sent to the psych nurse because they think your symptoms shouldn’t be caused by the actual diaphragmatic hernia because it’s small or the Gastric antral gland mucosa with nonspecific reactive gastropathy and the lipase and doctor I’ve never seen before at my pcp office or maybe seen once in my life is telling me to go to ER instead of just ordering blood work herself, gives me antibiotics for something I do not have and tries to give me more steroids, I already owe them cause they’ve used up all my insurance instead of sending me to specialist, and then on top of that refusing to answer any questions I have.
When I do go to ER finally , I’m told I possibly have mono and sends me on my way. Call my doc office and have questions about mono and they send me to have the mono test and guess what, not mono.
My blood work is all over the place for a long time and still nothing, yet y’all want $200 that I don’t have cause I’m on disability and this economy sucks every penny I have and y’all are taking advantage of people on Medicare and Medicaid.
I will be taking myself and my family else where for now on. I already have the paperwork to do so.
I would never recommend this place and I remember when I first moved here people warning me about valley regional, calling it Death Valley and now I know why.
I’m appalled and my family is appalled at how they handle patients and disregard their suffering and their families suffering because they decide to refuse to give you any answers which tell me they should have found and fixed my issues long ago and they know it.
The hospital staff decided to pay for a free cab ride for me to get home after a long bike to hospital. I live 40 minutes drive from the hospital. Thanks so much for this generous gift!
If I could leave negative stars I would and if you can make a trip to Mt. Ascutney, Springfield or Dartmouth I strongly urge you to do so.
I was advised by my PCP office to go to the ER, so I did. First ER Doctor tried giving me a diagnosis that an ER Doctor from VRH gave me 5 years ago & tried giving me (which turned out to be 5 BROKEN RIBS) again. I sent him back to the drawing board because that wasn't it.... Turned out I have blood clots in my lungs and was admitted.
Not but 6 hours later I met the doctor from Hell. He gaslighted me, he treated me badly for asking difficult questions and then went from DISCHARGED to AMA (Against Medical Leave). Luckily a friend witnessed the entire thing because the next thing he did was called security on me. A sick patient, in the hospital that pays your salary. This 100 year old facility will be bankrupt with staff like him. If it weren't for the traveling staff and the staff moved in, there wouldn't be a good staff member on payroll.

I don't like how they make you disclose personal medical reason why you're there, right out near the waiting room, where everyone can hear your conversation. Should be more private.
Had a one day, outpatient, surgery procedure. Wonderful staff. Karen my nurse, was pleasant and caring. Everyone who was working with me, ( doctor, anesthesiologist and nurses) introduced themselves, explained what their role was and what to expect.
I mean there nice and all but I had to wait a extremely long time before they even treated me about almost 5 hours I like this place but they need to be more on point and stop chit chatting and start helping all I could here the entire time was them all laughing and joking around this is not a game peoples lives are on the line
This is an honest to God acknowledgement of how this hospital is a parody of the words "health" and "care". The physicians I have spoken with at Valley Regional Hospital are absolutely horrid. In fact, I personally witnessed a doctor diagnosis my closest relative with Stage 3 breast cancer and within 5 minutes of this assessment, I consulted with the doctor about improving the patient's diet with higher PH levels and so forth... Immediately I was met with anger by the "doctor" and was told, "That's Eastern medicine and we're not even going to go there, buddy." I couldn't believe the nerve of this man. It took everything I had not to lose my composure. This is not a place that will EVER improve your health or provide you with a cure. They want your money and they create constant customers and keep them sick. This is the whole truth and nothing but. These "doctors" earn your trust with their debut smiles and white coats but then misinform you in terms of real treatments. They cannot patent an avocado seed or garlic for that matter so they won't bother suggesting or recommending it. Think about this. Follow the money and you'll see what their main focus is.
My husband was hospitalized for almost 4 weeks during June. The entire care teem was awesome! I cannot say enough good things. Nurses, PT, OT, dietary. They were professional, very caring and supportive, even during very difficult circumstances. They communicated very well.
