Black Bear Tavern Reviews
My husband and I come to visit (and ATV) at least once a month. We typically stay right at the Bear. Rooms are clean and the service in the bar is spectacular. Michelle, Nina, Diane, Tricia and the rest of the crew are top notch!!

We been coming up to New Hampshire from Connecticut for the past 4 years. We rent a cabin in the mountains for a couple days once a year, and always make sure we come down for lunch. The staff is so wonderful and kind we haven’t had a bad experience. The food is top notch, everything that we have ordered has been delicious. If you’re looking for a place to eat with your family. I highly recommend we will be back next winter when we come back.
We were on vacation and staying at Deer mountain campground in Pittsburg NH and decided to drive into Colebrook for dinner. The Black Bear Tavern looked very inviting plus it looked very busy. ( he loved it) I ordered the maple glazed salmon with green beans and mashed potatoes with gravy.❤️😁👍...read full review

Black Bear Tavern is a welcoming restaurant known for its great atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and delicious food. The chef is fabulous, and the buffet remains a popular choice for events. The cook is awesome, and the menu features tasty options like chicken wings and burgers. While the staff, including attentive servers like Lisa, provide exceptional customer service with big smiles, recent reviews highlight some mixed experiences. Guests have enjoyed dishes such as the Black Bear Moose Slide and pan-seared scallops, which received high praise. However, there have been concerns regarding the chicken tenders, with some customers expressing disappointment over changes to the recipe. Despite this, Black Bear Tavern continues to be a wonderful spot for a memorable dining experience, with a crew that is a great asset to the business.
