My husband and I come to visit (and ATV) at least once a month. We typically stay right at the Bear. Rooms are clean and the service in the bar is spectacular. Michelle, Nina, Diane, Tricia and the rest of the crew are top notch!!
This time, though…I was very disappointed (not in the service…but in the food). I love hand cut chicken tenders and typically have them wherever I go. I look forward to checking in every time because black bear has (in my opinion) chicken...
We been coming up to New Hampshire from Connecticut for the past 4 years. We rent a cabin in the mountains for a couple days once a year, and always make sure we come down for lunch. The staff is so wonderful and kind we haven’t had a bad experience. The food is top notch, everything that we have ordered has been delicious. If you’re looking for a place to eat with your family. I highly recommend we will be back next winter when we come back.
The Motel was surprisingly above my expectations. The room was big, 2 queens beds, TV, heat, clean bathroom. The area is remote so most places including the front desk was closed by 4pm. But I'd definitely stay here again.
