We were driving by, spotted Arnie's Place and pulled in, lured by the promise of BBQ, ice cream, and milkshakes. We definitely weren't disappointed! The pulled pork sandwich and potato salad were spot-on. Julie had ribs with beans and cornbread. All good. Check it out!
Maybe just an off night but wasn't as good as we remembered. Mushroom Swiss burger was way overcooked, yet cool. The mushrooms were also cool and the cheese wasn't even slightly melted. The grilled chicken sandwich was just ok. The fries were good though! The noise level of the traffic on Loudon Rd was ridiculous. Many extremely loud cars, bikes and trucks - one of the motorcycles rode by on a back tire only wheelie. Not sure where CPD was... Cool mural in the back...
Sad to see that this place has declined. We ordered two different hard ice cream cones today and both were softer that soft serve ice cream. Necessary to basically inhale the ice cream before it melted everywhere (not a hot day). Too bad!
