My husband had the lobster roll and loved it!
The shrimp was so delicious. The fries and onion rings were tasty.
10-10 would recommend!

I took my son here who was visiting from out of town. We placed our order and the waitress came back and said we don't have the 2 lb lobster or the raw oysters. My son then had to order something else. I ordered the scallops with a baked potato. Our dishes came out but not the potatoes because they weren't done yet. I had finished my scallops and 10 minutes later my potato shows up. I said is this second course? I said no I don't want it now. The waitress was nice and brought me a dessert instead.
The food we got was good and the waitress was great dealing with all her cooks issues. It was just not what I thought it should have been for a nice restaurant. The other problem was there was no light. We could barly read our menus. Perhaps it was just an off day.

The food was great! Service was great! Drinks were great! What more can you ask for. The place is older and homey. But better that than the other way around being fancy without good food. Oh and the prices are better than other seafood restaurants as well! Especially for lobster stew!

My wife and I, along with our 2 granddaughters, ate at The Lobster Trap on Saturday night 10/11/25, and had to be one of the worse meals we’ve had there ever.
My wife ordered the seafood scampi and couldn’t eat any of the mussels, as they were loaded with sand. Didn’t understand this cause mussels don’t usually live in sandy areas, but they were loaded with grit. The shrimp were partially cooked. She had no problem with the load yet or pasta and sauce.
My 2 granddaughters ordered the adult entree of spaghetti and meatballs. They usually order this as it has been very good in the past. This time, they both couldn’t eat it. They said the meatballs seemed different, the taste was very bad, and they wouldn’t eat it, and they usually eat everything. We didn’t even take it home.
I had the fried scollop dinner, and was good as always.
So, 3 out of 4 dinners were bad and not finished, and thrown out. For a bill of $130, $98 of this bill was thrown out the window. Told the hostess it would be a long time before we would hear again.
We have noticed in the last year , the quality and service has degraded noticeably. I would not recommend eating here at this time.

Heading out from Echo Lake just off the Kangamagus Highway, is this little gem of a restaurant serving delicious seafood and steaks...
We tried just the Lobster items alone, Lobster Double pie baked with lemon butter and Breadcrumbs and a Fresh Maine Lobster Roll, with warm butte and steak fries...
Incredible, melt in your mouth stuff!

Very busy place and now I know why. we got there just as they opened. Within an hour there was a waiting line. The staff was great. The food was very good. Atmosphere was very enjoyable. Not too loud so we could have an enjoyable time visiting with family while having an awesome meal.

I ordered lobster ravioli, and there were two objects in my dish that shouldn't have been. One i can only assume was a piece of a butter wrapper, the second was lobster shell. Yum lol

I tot was truly outstanding! Owner came by frequently to see how everything was going. We have been in the New England state for. Four days and this was the best dinner we have experienced. Seafood was extraordinary. Done to perfection. Seafood scampi could not have been improved upon. Two of our party had fried lobster. Another had a hamburger and another had a lobster dish as well.
Everyone was extremely satisfied with the entire evening experience.
Thank you to all

10/11/2025: The food was absolutely delicious! I got the 1 1/2 pound lobster with a side of green beans(lobster came with your choice of side). I also ordered a cup of clam chowder(was an extra $4.50 for the chowder). The chowder was homemade the server said, and it was very delicious. 😋 And the lobster and green beans were cooked perfectly! The price of the lobster was reasonable. And I also got an espresso martini, which was very delicious and strong! Food came out quickly. It was just me, and I went on a Saturday night. I had no wait for a seat. I just went to the bar and sat myself at the bar. Staff was very friendly. I would highly recommend this place. I was even offered dessert, which was nice. But I decided to pass since I was pretty full! I would come back again!
