First time I've been there with my wife, we walked in and stood there 10 minutes waiting to be seated. Noone was there and finally I saw a person and she said sit anywhere I said ok but we've been waiting 10 minutes and noone is in here. She looked at me and said nah it hasn't been 10 minutes. Looked right at her and said yes ma'am it has then left cause I thought she was dude. I've always been treated awesome there was disappointed we walked out today
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our dinner and loved our cocktails! We had fried calamari, stuffed haddock and shrimp! Highly recommend!!!!

Absolutely awful and sad. Watched an employee blow her nose and not wash her hands and then serve patrons. My mom got food sick from their clams and missed her flight back to Florida . Worst dining experience in my life.

Visited this restaurant for the first time which is away from the main high street area. The lobster rolls were nice though the accompanying onion rings were very thin and dry. We also had the Combo with shrimp, Calamari and scallops options which was all battered. Think this was all or mainly frozen against being fresh as the batter and contents were very dry. Would avoid this dish. Also the building interior decor is a bit dated.

Don’t let the look of this place deceive you. The food the service was amazing. Started off with mussels Fradiavlo. Amazing. Then a nice lobster roll with battered onion rings and fries also delicious. She had fried clams were also super fresh and fantastic. 6 others had great meals from chick parm and fish. All wonderful. I can not say enough about the wonderful service and the people that worked there. A perfect end meal for our long weekend. Put this on your list 4.3 is dead wrong 4.7 is the number.

It was our second time in, both times the food was amazing! Fresh, high quality and cooked well with great flavor. Both times I had the oysters and they were sweet and cleanly prepared! Last time my husband had the fried lobster and it was out of this world! Tonight I had the seafood scampi over ziti, toe curling good!
Last time we had a phenomenal server who added to the great experience. Tonight we had a different server who was not very good. We’ll still go again and ask to be seeded in the other servers section!

Great food, reasonable prices, great service. Atmosphere was so nice. We went on a weekend and it wasn't loud and overly busy. No wait. Better than what we expected.

I took my son here who was visiting from out of town. We placed our order and the waitress came back and said we don't have the 2 lb lobster or the raw oysters. My son then had to order something else. I ordered the scallops with a baked potato. Our dishes came out but not the potatoes because they weren't done yet. I had finished my scallops and 10 minutes later my potato shows up. I said is this second course? I said no I don't want it now. The waitress was nice and brought me a dessert instead.
The food we got was good and the waitress was great dealing with all her cooks issues. It was just not what I thought it should have been for a nice restaurant. The other problem was there was no light. We could barly read our menus. Perhaps it was just an off day.

The food was great! Service was great! Drinks were great! What more can you ask for. The place is older and homey. But better that than the other way around being fancy without good food. Oh and the prices are better than other seafood restaurants as well! Especially for lobster stew!

My wife and I, along with our 2 granddaughters, ate at The Lobster Trap on Saturday night 10/11/25, and had to be one of the worse meals we’ve had there ever.
My wife ordered the seafood scampi and couldn’t eat any of the mussels, as they were loaded with sand. Didn’t understand this cause mussels don’t usually live in sandy areas, but they were loaded with grit. The shrimp were partially cooked. She had no problem with the load yet or pasta and sauce.
My 2 granddaughters ordered the adult entree of spaghetti and meatballs. They usually order this as it has been very good in the past. This time, they both couldn’t eat it. They said the meatballs seemed different, the taste was very bad, and they wouldn’t eat it, and they usually eat everything. We didn’t even take it home.
I had the fried scollop dinner, and was good as always.
So, 3 out of 4 dinners were bad and not finished, and thrown out. For a bill of $130, $98 of this bill was thrown out the window. Told the hostess it would be a long time before we would hear again.
We have noticed in the last year , the quality and service has degraded noticeably. I would not recommend eating here at this time.
