Very small, off the beaten path, town bakery that is like a hidden secret but get there early because they will sell out. We were vacationing during Christmas in North Conway and we wanted a bakery for fresh bread. My husband said he found one that had a bake schedule menu, so I quickly searched and found this bakery. We went and lucky for us it was early enough in the day that they were not sold out. It is very small; when they ask for only 5 people in the store at a time, that's because that's all there is room for. We got a loaf of rosemary and olive bread and he picked up fresh focaccia. The focaccia smelled heavenly and it was still warm. I immediately broke pieces off to give to everyone. Even our 8yr old loved it. We went back a few days later, later in the day and they were basically sold out. There were a few slices of pizza and some cookies left. I ordered 4 slices of pizza (it can be used as the bread for dinner) and cookies and a slice of gingerbread). The cookies were amazing and the gingerbread, I regret only getting one slice.

Everything was phenomenal! We picked up our Thanksgiving order and everything was delicious! From the scones to the apple crumb cake and cinnamon buns.
Tried the pizza while I was there and WOW, it was delicious. Can't believe all these years we didn't know this was here. We'll be regulars now!

Incredible bakery, packed with delicious pastries and breads. We frequently buy the six-grain bread from here and can’t help but pick up some additional cookies, scones, or other treats. I love how innovative and seasonal this bakery is — there are always interesting twists on familiar flavors. The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful, and it’s a real pleasure coming here. What an amazing community resource — where would we be without it!

Few times in my life can I say I’ve been floored by a pastry, but in this moment, I don’t believe that through all my worldly travels I’ve ever had a croissant as delicious as the one I had at Old Village Bakery. The staff is welcoming and warm, and the space is exactly what you hope to find in a bakery that checks all the boxes. My wife is always talking about this place and even goes secretly when I’m at work, but today I finally got to go—and I loved it. A few hours later, I found myself looking for lunch and ended up back there for their pizza, which absolutely slapped. Even my picky five-year-old ate it. I’ll be back, again and again, probably in the same day. Do yourself a favor: go, and then go back. You can thank me later.

Tiny selection and disappointed they were out of the only pastry with egg by 0715 on a Tuesday. Ham and swiss croissant was burnt, croissants are best just golden and this was way past that stage. Espresso chocolate scone also tastes burnt which ruined the whole flavor combo. The small apple pie had such potential but the crust was burnt all the way around and on the bottom. Apple raspberry muffin was just meh for me but my husband really liked it, at least it was not burnt. Overall very disappointed for first time here but will probably give it another try since their selection varies daily.

I have no idea why the best bakery in New Hampshire, I'm sorry - best bakery in all of New England, is a tiny little shop in a strip mall next to the laundreymat but that's what's going on here. The bread is amazing. The cookies are amazing. The croissants are amazing. The cinnemon rolls are better than Cinnabon. The scones are wildly amazing.

The only reason I’m giving this a 2 is because the baked goods are great, been going here for years. My problem is the workers behind the counter are by far some of the most unfriendly people I’ve interacted with at any of the local establishments, and they don’t even try to hide it. Every worker has been beyond rude and act like you’re bothering them, even though they’re just standing around talking. Wonderful food, but it always feels like a real chore going in when I know I’m about to experience some of the worst service in the valley. Do better.

We went here for breakfast this morning. The people there were very nice. The store smelled amazing. I bought at least half a dozen items. We don't live in this area but if we did we would definitely be back

Had heard good things, but was really disappointed. Croissants were burnt and the woman helping me was not very pleasant.

All I can say is this place is a gem. Been going to that area for years and just found this place. We wanted a simple breakfast and figured we would try something new. Well multiple items and days later we tried a lot of new things and everything was great. Personal favorite, which was only available one of the days, was an almond poppyseed muffin, gluten free even. Highly recommend.
