One of the worst chicken biryani. Its not a briyani..kind of veg fried frice mixed with chicken gravy thats not of great taste.

Panner pakora ..tasted fair but better than chicken briyani

For the price ..taste is very very very poor.

I ordered in for my last day on vacation. I was greeted quickly and with a smile . Sat down right away . It seems like it’s ran by the owner and possibly his daughter or a younger girl . Both gave 5 star service . Extremely kind . Nothing but smiles , and were efficient . The meal came out in a very timely manner and I would say the food was a 4/5 . I enjoyed my meal very much and finished every bite . The owner even allows more servings of rice with no cost . The cost of the meal wasn’t bad at all . 35$ for naan/appetizer/coca cola/ main meal . I was sat down in a great spot and the atmosphere of the room is quiet with just enough lighting to write or read a book , but dark enough to have a relaxing dinner. I enjoyed this place a lot and would go back again tonight if I could . Definitely reccomend to anyone .

Very bad experience, we ordered chana masala and picked up order and after we reached home it was chicken masala, do not order anything to go or may be dine in also. It deserves 0 star

After a long day of hiking, our dinner here really hit the spot. We got what we ordered, the rice was cooked very well, and the sauce was delicious. The service was exceptional! I will definitely return.

My girlfriend and I were on the hunt for an experience. And for us, that means an entire food style and restaurant the neither of us have ever had.
Well, this place was our pick.
We enjoyed 2 different versions of the breads (1 Garlic and 1 chicken)
We also shared a dish to taste.
Both breads were nice, light a delicious.
As was our meal. I usually order MEDIUM spice anywhere I go, but here you will want to order mild (glad they told me that)
The roasted pepper relish was hot ? but TASTY! Idk exactly what to call the brown sauce but to me it was like a sweet balsamic. I played around and tried everything with the bread, relish and sauce. All flavors played well together
Very nice staff, clean dining room and good food.
We will be back

Shalimar was always my favourite restaurant when I lived in North Conway. After I left, I’ve lived in different counties and tried many Indian restaurants, I still think Shalimar offers the best Indian food!

15 years later, I had a chance to visit North Conway again and of course I went back to Shalimar. I was a bit nervous since I didn’t know if anything had changed. But I am soooo glad that it was the same owner, the same food, the same service. Everything was just as amazing as it always has been.

I wish I could bring the whole restaurant with me anywhere! I will make sure I come back to visit again just for the food at Shalimar!

I have been eating Shalimar’s food for YEARS now and it’s genuinely one of my favorite places in town. I was introduced to them in 2017 and fell in love immediately. Please do not let the negative reviews fool you - I am pretty sure a lot of them are bots or competitors. This restaurant is truly fantastic and the owners are very sweet. I introduced their food to my boyfriend last year and he is also a huge fan now. Our favorites are the tikka masala, veggie pakoras, chicken vindaloo, and lamb curry - but we are always trying something new and are never disappointed. ❤️

This is one of our favorite dining spots in North Conway and our favorite Indian restaurant anywhere. The food is always outstanding and the staff very friendly. Highly recommended.

We were in North Conway, we arrived at the restaurant at 2:50 as it opened only 3 we were reading the menu at the door, when someone from the restaurant comes to the door (from the inside) just to lock the door in our face without saying a word. Totally disrespectful!
