This place has solid Italian food. If you're going for the food alone, you'll probably be happy. If you're looking for more of a dining experience, it's a hard pass for me. We made a reservation (which aggressively required a $50 hold if we no-showed) but we arrived early and went looking into the half-empty bar. We were interrogated almost immediately by the hostesses (it took two of them to guard the door) We figured we'd just sit at the bar and it took minutes for them to decide if that was OK, then decided THEY were doing us a HUGE favor to sit at the mostly empty bar. Turn off. We then sat down in our assigned bar seats (who does this?) and we were forced to stare a placards (see photos) which were left on the bar for our entire dinner telling us they were reserved seats and we were expected to dine no longer than two hours. We watched two poor gentlemen come in, (somehow elude the guards at the front door) and sit for nearly 10 minutes trying to order, then get ceremoniously escorted out because the bar is reserved seating only, just like any other table. (And for the record, NO ONE sat in the those seats for the remainder of our meal...but, rules are rules at Vito.) As I said, the food was solid, although the salad was tiny (don't remember it being so small in the past) with nothing more than lettuce and some shaved carrots. Their dressing is pretty good. I usually jump at the opportunity to eat at the bar, because they service tends to be better as the bartender(s) are constantly walking by. And even though this is a pretty small bar, the service was average at best. The servers had ZERO personality and weren't attentive at all. Not in the "20% range" at all. Turn off. My glass of house Cab was probably the smallest pour I've had in a restaurant in years, and not sure what the house Cab is, but for a restaurant like this, it's sub-par. Where's the nice wine from Umbria? My impression of Vito is that it's a restaurant that enjoys high-demand and little competition, so they can get away with a poor dining experience. Put another nice Italian place somewhere nearby and I suspect the attitude would soften a bit. Overall I give it four stars for solid food. But when I'm dropping $100+ for a nice dinner for two, I want an experience too...and this place just doesn't have it.

We've been trying to get a reservation here for about 3 years & finally succeeded - and it did not disappoint! We had the Tuscan Farmer's appetizer (delicious). The bread was fresh baked, the salad was amazingly fresh and had a wonderful subtle dressing & our dinners were outstanding. I had the Ghilli Marcello & h7bby had the Zuppa di Pesce Fra Diavolo. We can highly recommend those items! Even the cheesecake was unusually good - reminiscent of the recipe from the old Lindy's in NYC. My cappucino came with a rock candy swizzle stick stirrer! The only disappointments were both from the bar: no absinthe to make a Sazerac cocktail and no BLACK sambucca, but we could live with that. Our server (Herve or Herbie) was attentive, smiling, & competent. I only give 4 stars instead of 5 because there was an obnoxious SCREAMING child whose parents didn't have the sense to take it outside after the first 3 outbursts, and none of the restaurant staff seemed to address the problem. It reached a point where I was ready to find the child and throw water in his face! Yes, children will sometimes misbehave, but when it continues for 30 minutes or more, some sort of intervention is required. We will definitely be back to this wonderful restaurantin the future!

This is by far my favorite place to eat in North Conway, hands down. Best customer service, best drinks, and without a doubt the best, most authentic Italian food around!! The chicken florentine is my fav & the bruchetta polmodoro (sorry if I misspelled) is to die for FR, but maaaan..I am drooling just thinkin about the deliciousness ? Do yourself a favor & try it out!! You won't regret it..I promise!!!!

Good service, delicious authentic Italian food. Our kids loved the pasta bolognese . The portions were very big.

My wife and I have been going to Vito's (formerly Bellini's) for over 20 years. We eat there whenever we are in North Conway NH. We hadn't visited North Conway in about 10 years and were looking forward to visiting our old haunts. We reserved a table using Resy.com. Once seated, we waited several minutes before our waiter came by to introduce himself. We ordered drinks. It must have been 10 minutes before our drinks arrived, actually drink. He only brought my sparkling water, not my spouses tea and still water. After another few minutes wait, I saw him coming back with the tea, but he spilled something and returned to the bar area. So more waiting. Our first issue was with the quality of the tea. It wouldn't steep. We tried a few different bags and no success. We ordered our meals; Chicken Marsala and Cheese and spinach Ravioli in bolognaise sauce. When the food arrived, the Marsala sauce was like a thin soup. When we asked about it, we were told that's how it comes. I have never seen a sauce so runny. We were told it was because we changed the pasta from penne to fettuccini. Whenever we mentioned something to the waiter he would say wonderful! Fabulous! Thank-you very much! Enjoy! I would not recommend dining here based on our last meal there. Go to another Italian Restaurant.

This place is the best for italian food. The lasagna was excellent, the sauce so good, we brought two jars home! Some of the best food I have had in a long time. Great atmosphere, service and food. But you do need a reservation, thats how popular it is.

Made reservations for 6 oclock. Asked if I wanted a booth or a hightop table. i responded as this was the first time going to the bistro what could they recommend. They said that I could choose upon arriving. Upon arriving I could not choose as the only spot available was a hightop by the waitress area. We ended up in the back room at a small table surrounded by unoccupied booths. Asked if we could sit at one of these booths told no they were reserved. After waiting 15 minutes for a waitress to appear we stood up to leave when waitress appeared. After 30 minutes with the booths filling up and those tables began eating we still havent received our food yet Lasagna and a afish plate arent that complicated. Will find another Italian bistro!!

We walked in without a reservation and the greeter wasn’t sure we could be seated because everyone usually books a reservation. We were finally seated but told we had to leave by 6:15 as a 6:30 reservation was booked after us. We felt rushed the minute we put our forks down the plates were removed. I gave a rating of 4 because the food was delicious! Note: I tried to make a reservation via the resy app but was not able to

Nice Restaurant in North Conway. I prefer to sit at the bar if at all possible although you need to make a reservation otherwise it is difficult to get a spot. The food is good and service is excellent. I had the ravioli bolognese and it was very good.

We have been visiting the Valley Originals for over 30 years. Eat at Vito’s several times every year and it’s always excellent! Consistency is key, we always leave with enough for another meal. We always get the meatball appetizer. It’s huge and delicious. We had the veal Parmesan and chicken Marsala along with salad and bread. Not sure if bread is made in house but so fresh, it must be..This place North End vibes, en pointe service always. Solid wine list. The only drawback was the too sweet Expresso martini. No room for dessert:-)

This was our choice for our Christmas Eve dinner, as it was near where we wanted to be later in the evening. We had eaten here ages ago and liked it then. We arrived a bit early for our 5 p.m. reservation but got seated right away. Our server, Makayla, was by quickly to take our drink orders (Prosecco for wife, diet soda for me). She brought back the drinks and bread and took our meal orders. My wife decided on the chicken marsala as her entree while I opted for the chicken parmigiana with penne. They came with side salads and the house dressing was very good, and the size did not overly fill you up. Our entrees came out shortly after we were done with the salads, and they were a good size portion that we were able to finish off. Makayla tempted us with the dessert menu, and we succumbed to a cappuccino and gelato (wife) and a large cannoli with chocolate chips and a terrific filling. The service was excellent and the food very tasty. Prices were maybe a bit on the high side but not overly so. I would recommend trying it out if you like Italian food.

Honestly my husband and I were quite disappointed. There is nothing upscale about this restaurant. Booth and high bar table seating. The Bolognese sauce was very, very good. But overall the meals were average Italian. Maybe it is because they are in a basically tourist destination, but I think stating on the menu you may only have one non-alcoholic (soda) refill, and there is an additional charge for extra bread with your dinner, completely lowers their attempt to be more than a run of the mill restaurant. Kind of tacky, and I didn’t want or ask for more. But reading it on the menu, well it confirms they are not high end.

We ate here with friends in September. The place was full, atmosphere lively, service good and food delicious. Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding when we asked for one of the pasta options. We may have said ‘with meatballs’ (a usual term in the UK) rather than ‘with meatball’. Here it meant two large meatballs each (too much to eat) and a significant extra charge.

We sat at the bar, service was excellent I think our bartenders name was Tyler. We ordered chicken Parmigiana which was delicious! We will return when we’re back in the area.

I am so disappointed!!! My reservation, that I made 3 weeks ago, was cancelled the night before. I receive a text notification around 6pm or later. I have been searching for a dinner reservation however, nothing available prior to 7pm.
