We were visiting Dover for the night on New Year's Eve. This place was near our hotel. We haven't been to the 99 in years. One of us got the chicken sandwich, spicy sauce on the side. The other chicken pot pie. Both were delicious. I also ordered boneless chicken wings to go and ate them later in the evening. The wings were excellent. They were crispy, breaded nicely and very tasty. We both got Botanical Bloom drinks, on the menu it's made with Gin, we opted for...
Food was very good and our waitress was very nice. The 5 five guys sitting behind us were very loud and didn't stop yelling over each other. We thought about moving, but decided there were times we could talk normally. Next time we will say something.
99 is a solid place, just not that exciting. Good for families. Good apps, but nothing revolutionary and some items are boring/meh. Drinks are okay but not awesome. I find they're often out of certain ingredients needed to make specialty items which is disappointing. Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming and it's never a bad time. It's just not something I can rave about.
