I've never written a review in my life, but the people need to know. The staff from top to bottom are self-important and unnecessarily aggressive. They do not deserve business of any kind. If Durham has the real estate for it, they should put in a competing restaurant bar and put Libby's down once and for all.

it's a rite of passage if you go to UNH...
the basement is always chaotic, at least during the schoolyear. it's basically a club. so if you like crowded clubs, definitely come here. one downside is that the toilets in the basement have no dividers, and people make small talk with you as you do your business ?
This bar is not like I remember it anymore. A couple days ago, half our wedding party got in and the other half initially denied entry around 11:30. Two calm, kind staff members agreed to let us in (I wanted to buy everyone a round), and most of us got in. However the last three of us were met with a different staff member yelling and swearing at us. He told us to leave and called the police over. The police seemed confused but had a respectful conversation with me. I'm told the man went around the establishment screaming at all of our party members including the bride and groom who were calmly seated enjoying drinks. No clear explanation was given. I wish we could have worked something out and all had a good, fun, respectful night. I understand the need for aggression in extreme circumstances, but what happened to us was severely unprofessional and disrespectful.

Used to have outstanding food but our experience last night was disappointing. Nachos and chicken fingers overcooked. Lack of meat and cheese on the unlayered nachos made it a poor value. Quesadilla was good and stir fry was good despite no broccoli (86). Casey, the bartender was awesome though.

Imagine being the second best bar in Durham, New Hampshire. Bums work here.

Old bouncer can’t tell the difference between a real and fake ID. Keep your daughters away.

Typical American bar in the center of Durham, with high tables, screens to watch sports, and a lot of university atmosphere since it is next to UNH. We only had some chicken wings to accompany the beers and they were incredible: €13 for a large portion... they are worth trying!

It's a college bar, the drinks are fairly priced if you are looking to get drunk, but if you are looking for high quality and high end drinks this is not the place for you(at least during the school year). During the off season, you will get actual cups for your respective drinks, during the school year, you will be getting small plastic cups. The alcohol selection is fairly limited, but again, it's a college bar.

Lousy service, over-priced, over-wired. ESPN on all the teletubbies. Typical "death star" crowd. Stop by if you enjoy having your kidneys and nads incubated by demented wireless cellular signals. Female bartender told me I had to tip her more money for a $4 plastic water cup of cheap domestic beer- followed by one of the bouncers telling me I had to leave after she took offense to me giving her some quarters for her laundry? They and ESPN can kiss my a**! They need to put a sign on the door saying Vanilla snowflake social media crowd only so they don't waste a real man's time! Great place to pick up COVID though!
The hottest B&G around UNH!
Great blend of bar and restaurant. Delicious food and good staff made everything a good experience. Depending on what time you go there will be a college aged Cronus but everyone is respectful. All in all great experience. Get the steak tip risotto and thank me later?
