Beautiful location! Perfect for a college town, not too busy or crowded. Quick service as well. I got an Asiago bagel and it was very good, chewy, warm, and cheesy. Personally it had a bit too much cream cheese for me, and it was a bit overbearing, but overall it was good!

Visited on a Monday Morning for a latte and to do some work. Steady business but never too crowded to have a place to sit. Tasty coffee, with options to add house made flavored syrups.

One of the better breakfast spots in downtown Durham. Really like the nitro coffee taps.

This place is amazing. Best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life. If you are in Hanover or near UNH, do not have breakfast anywhere else. Cannot recommend this place enough!!

Excuse my English. My grandfather was nothing more than a humble coffee bean farmer, as was his father. He spent his whole life growing the best coffee beans that Colombia has ever tasted. When he passed away, my father took over the business. The coffee was in my blood and I did what I could to help him. I had prepared to make the place when I was of legal age, but my father had other plans for me. He took the money he saved to send me to the University in the United States. I couldn't afford to come back to visit, so I spent my free time working to pay for school and studying hard to get my law degree. When I finally got my first job after graduating. I took my first paycheck to return it to him. He was older than I remembered and he had sold the business by then, but he was still him. And he still smelled like our family, like us, like coffee. The aroma of rise & grind given to my heart reminded me of him. The smell brought me back to my childhood home and to the large number of memories that accompanied me. The coffee had a boisterous flavor reminiscent of the powerful beans we used to prepare. I got a black coffee with sugar on the side and the taste alone was phenomenal. That's where the review would end if I didn't get the "Shack Up". ¡Asombroso!. Oh my God, that was an incredible sandwich. The flavor combinations were complementary to each other and work perfectly together. It was a very necessary addition to the order and I will order it again. In general, Rise & Grind was a truly revolutionary breakfast experience that I will enjoy again. If I could, I would leave 10 stars.

Good food for a good price. The atmosphere of Rise and Grind is super unique and a great place to do some work or meet up with friends. The staff there are super nice, but the service is so slow. I waited 25 minutes for one sandwich. Kinda ridiculous.

Love the food here. It's a really fun little breakfast place. The sandwiches are great, the Royale is a personal favorite. My only issue is that if you're ordering more than one thing, the staff mixes up orders a lot. If you order two sandwiches on different bagels, your order is likely to be made entirely backwards. It's happened more than a handful of times and now I need to double check my order before I leave. Beyond that, great place.... just wish the staff was a little more focused.

One word for this Restaurant would be 5 stars!!! The customer service is immaculate and the women who take the orders are very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. I enjoyed a positive atmosphere while sitting in to get work done. I opted for coffee and instead had a bubbly probiotic which I would recommend to anyone!! The bagels also taste very fresh. Also, the bathroom was extremely clean!!!! 10/10 :)

This is a local restaurant for me. The food, atmosphere, and service are always good. Staff is super friendly and go above and beyond. Everything on the menu is good, I’ve had a lot of the burgers. The beer is also very good with a great selection.

I was absolutely blown away by how good my breakfast sandwich was. I got The Shack Up and I can’t describe in words how insane the flavors were. The perfect amount of everything was in this sandwich. Bagels were on point! I’m from nyc and very picky about bagels but these were a hit. Service was super fast and friendly. My latte was absolutely perfect! This place is a GEM. Highly Highly Recommended!!Kid-friendliness: Fun murals on the walls. Bright and colorful. Very comfortable seating.Parking: Easy street parkingWheelchair accessibility: You can roll right in! No steps

I really try to like this place because of how close it is, but I always regret it after going. Today I found not one but two hairs in my breakfast sandwich, which is absolutely disgusting. Normally I would just move on, but this is actually not the first time this has happened to me. I think the kitchen needs to make some serious changes to cleanliness if they expect customers to be coming back.
